"What an incredible coincidence! We stayed at this same hotel in the same room 8 years ago! Last time, the little bed in the corner wasn’t necessary for a couple, but this time we came with our 2 year old son who loved sleeping in his first real bed! The new indoor pool is a luxurious addition since our 2016 stay and this time we splurged for the in-room breakfast, which was so copious and delicious that we haven’t been hungry for the rest of the day! More than worth the additional charge! "

"The two of us had a delightful stay at Le Petite Vigne. We were cycling town to town and there was a place to secure our bikes which we appreciated. The house is lovely, old and full of character. We were greeted by the hostess Stephanie (and a cat named Bolo) after letting ourselves in the front. She is the nicest, sweetest lady we met on our entire trip! "Great Cottages and restaurant is situated in the wood but in the same time very close to Loire river and many castles or other tourist destination. The owner is just great."

The only thing to be aware of is that if you don't have a car it's hard to get to (taxis are hard to come by in Amboise), and a decent walk from downtown Amboise."

"This was a very disappointing stay. First of all it was difficult to find(google maps takes you to an apartment block!) and if looking fir a golf course as in a previous review states, the nearest one is 3miled away! It is on a housing estate and an hours walk from Tours centre. The villa itself is beautiful. However the owner has little English and it is difficult to find him when you need him! We were not given a WiFi code and had to ask about parking and code to get back in at night. The bed...

"Awful. It felt like a homeless person place. No AC, No Hairdryer, Shower head has to be held to be used, Dirty floors with circular burns in carpet, no toiletries or towels, no AC in fitness center, very sketchy area, dirty refrigerator, no coffee, very late checkin and very early checkout. Worst place I have EVER stayed. "

"The hotel is comfortable but located in a sketchy area. It’s convenient for three reasons, available parking for a fee, a shopping mall across the street with a small supermarket and a tram that takes you to the city center across the street on the main avenue. "
