Im Service kaum zu schlagen.

Super schön in der Innenstadt gelegen. Mit dem Auto kommt man bis vor die Tür. Ein par Meter weiter gibt es Parkplätze die nichts kosten. Der Check in geht sehr schnell, durch Kompetenz und Freundlichkeit macht das richtig Laune. Sehr gewissenhaft wird hier der Impfstatus geprüft, was ein Beispiel für so einige Mitbewerber ist. Zum Frühstück wollte ich Croissants, die Chefin des Hauses ging extra los um diese zu besorgen, hätte ich nie erwartet. Eine Gastfreundschaft, die man heute nur noch selten sieht. Einfach gigantisch toll.

The hotel has a great location, very good service, and old fashioned charm. The accommodations however were in disrepair; the room had a bad odor, the bed was disastrously soft, and the bathroom was in need of updating. As a place to crash at while hiking, this hotel is fine. But if you are looking for a level of comfort, you will be disappointed.

Es ist halt eine traditionelle Unterkunft im Ortskern einer historischen Kleinstadt. Da darf man sich keine moderne Unterkunft erwarten, wie sie schnell mal auf freiem Feld aus dem Boden gestampft werden kann. Trotzdem sollte man das Haus mal etwas entrümpeln und auch mal die vielen Hirschgeweiher darin abstauben.

chose this hotel because it seemed to be a seamless part of an old, charming Bavarian town known for its "painted" buildings, and it was just that...charming! Every inch of the building held something useful or interesting, and knowing that this is an older building it was not surprising that there is not an elevator to carry luggage to upper floors, probably the only downside of staying here. Enjoyed the evening dinner and nice breakfast foods at the hotel, and especially the zither player and his music in the evenings! Mittenwald is beautiful and interesting and a lovely place to visit.

Bayrisch herzlich.

Von außen freut man sich schon hinein zu gehen, auch wenn man den Parkplatz erstmal nicht findet. Die freundliche junge Dame an der Rezeption erklärt das kurz und genau, dann funktioniert es. Das Einchecken geht schnell und die Zimmer sind gut. Alles nicht neu, aber es passt alles zusammen, und alles ist mit liebe gemacht, was man merkt. Die Flure und die Treppenhäuser von Bildern mit Tradition geschmückt, eine kleine Hauskapelle die heute ein Aufenthaltsraum ist. Alles Top.

We will be coming back, everything was perfect

Wonderful place to stay. Great service, relaxed atmosphere, clean and comfortable. There is a restaurant directly downstairs but also others on the same street. Location was perfect. There is nothing that could have been better. We are absolutely going to come back to this hotel.

Auch ein Traditionsgasthof muss mit der Zeit gehen. Die Alpenrose bedarf dringend einer Modernisierung. Das Zimmer klein, vollgestellt mit zu großen, unmodernen Möbeln und einem alten Röhrenfernsehgerät. Das Badezimmer auch renovierungsbedürftig, schlechte Beleuchtung, wenig Wasser aus dem Duschkopf. Da nützt auch die künstliche Rose auf dem Bett und der elektronische Raumduft im Badezimmer.

Die besten Zeiten hinter sich

Negativ - Zimmer über der Küche recht laut - morgens ab halb 6 und abends bis 0 Uhr - Zimmerausstattung alt und mit wenig Wohlfühlcharakter - Matratze durchgelegen - Wand könnte einen Anstrich vertragen Postiv + Zimmer recht sauber In Summe kein angenehmer Aufenthalt. Ich würde dieses Hotel nicht nochmals buchen.

Wir waren zu zweit in einem sehr kleinen und dunklen Zimmer. Von den Quadratmetern war das Bett größer als das Zimmer. Sehr winzig und eher für Zwerge.
