"This was not what I was expecting as a hotel. First of all we could not find the place. There was no signage indicating the way or that a hotel was there like other places we saw along the road. The directions connected to the listing took us to dead end roads. We finally got near the location and we thought that it was still wrong because it was in a little village and it looked like an abandoned house was there. A quietly brilliant stay. The welcome was warm without the fuss, the beds were the sink-into-oblivion kind, and the shower actually understood the assignment. Breakfast — light, thoughtful, and included in the room rate — felt like a small act of generosity rather than an upsell.
