We were very disappointed in our stay!! The first red flag was pulling into our parking spot and finding beer/soda cans in a big pile by a tree. The lawn chairs and grill with more garbage in another area was also a concern. The staff member checking us in was very nice and made it a very quick process. When we got to our room it unfortunately had mold in the shower which really bothered us. Due to terrible weather in the area, the electricity went out and stayed out all night. This was very good since it was a very warm night and the air conditioning of course didn’t work. Again not their fault but try to make the situation better??? Maybe instead of barking at everyone that there isn’t breakfast because of the power outage (rude tone…I am sure she had heard complaints all morning), maybe be proactive and see where you could order some doughnuts or muffins?? Maybe hand out some water??
Also when the elevator goes out, you should check on your guests. We had two older couples on the fourth floor. When we were making our way down the stairs my kids ran back up to help with their bags because it was quite a walk!! Now it was no problem for them to help out, but maybe the hotel could have had a service to help other older people?? Those steps were tough!! Overall it was just so disappointing because we love Hampton Inns!
