It seems like giving one star is too generous for my evaluation of the room. I didn’t stay for more than 10 minutes before deciding to move to another hotel. Firstly, there was no space in the room to put my luggage as there was no closet available. Additionally, the room was incredibly noisy as it was facing a car dealership. The hotel provided earplugs as a courtesy to deal with the noise. There was no air conditioning, only a small fan on the nightstand. The bathroom had no storage facilities and no partition between the shower and toilet area.
The room was well-lit, with no blackout. However, the bed was very hard and the pillow was old and lacked filling. The room’s decoration was horrible and old, but I understand that it’s subjective. The area where the hotel was located didn’t feel safe, especially for a tourist. After consulting with locals, I learned that the area can be dangerous due to the presence of bars and drunk/drugged individuals. However, I must say that the staff at the front desk were very kind and helpful.
The hotel description turned out to be inaccurate which was very disappointing. Although I understand their policies, I did not receive a refund. Unfortunately, it was not a good place for a week-long vacation. I would like to discuss this bad experience with Expedia regarding the possibility of a refund. Thank you.
