"Aristieta is located in a beautiful, quiet, bucolic area of Kanpantxu, near Gernika. It is part of an organic farmstead operated by Alex and his wife, the hosts. Their home and farmhouse has been lovingly restored by their family and friends and is a unique property in every sense of the word. "Can’t express our love for this place. Maria in particular, and the waitress at the restaurant (didn’t get her name) were absolute gems and made our stay super memorable. As we frequently drive from France through to Portugal and return, this will now be a regular stop for us and we’re already looking forward to revisiting. "

"Beautiful hotel in the hills northeast of Bilbao. Easy to find, and as convenient as can be expected to drive in and out of the city for a few days. Unlike many places in Spain, good reliable air conditioning. Note that the “Family” room is just one room, so no privacy for anyone sleeping in either of the two beds. Hotel restaurant was good, not great, but good value."
