"This grand old hotel is a hotel you must stay in if you can . There’s nothing « modern «about it as it was built in 1883. . We had a superior room . No view but we were hardly in it for the view . Good amenities were supplied . The bathroom is renovated but the shower was over the bathtub. This would pose a problem for anyone with a mobility issue . I’m sure you could ask for an accessible room. We had breakfast in the dining room which is not buffet . Order off the menu . It did not disappoint . The Cricketers Bar next door is a lively venue . I would definitely stay there again."

"Reception staff were polite & friendly. Room was spacious & beds comfortable. The hotel is in a great position with close proximity to Spencer Street train station & a team stop right out the front. We had a continental breakfast at the hotel which included eggs, a nice bonus. Plenty of options for food & shopping around the hotel."
