"A beautiful sun kissed location only 20 mins from Male. The island and resort spoils you from the moment you are picked up to the time you leave.  We stayed at a beach villa which gave us an unobstructed view of the sunrise every morning, that plus watching the fins of the (harmless) black tip reef sharks circling was simply magical. The sunsets from the pool and Captains bar were equally spectacular!.  The staff deserve a special call out; Siham our host for being on call when we needed her, the 3 Queens of Bageecha Geethika, Manikala and Samjhona for their beaming smiles and attentiveness and Vanna, Eyman, Vinnu and Ritesh for their exemplary commitment to service and extra special dishes due to allergies.  But there were many others too that made our trip very very special. "

"Very relaxing. Most staff very nice and accommodating. A few weren’t as friendly. I also noticed they allow garbage to float in the ocean around the shore, which bothered me, but apparently not them. Styrofoam, glass, plastic, wrappers, chips containers, etc. also looked like sewage leaking into water big time along one side of beach. Room also wasn’t too clean and had a lot of bugs. Bedding also smelled a little like previous guests sweat. But what to expect when it’s an island?! Food was amazing! All you could want and more. Very relaxing vibe overall. Thankful there was no loud, blaring music or rowdiness. Felt safe and comfortable. Would recommend! "

The culinary experience, led by Chef Harry and Monice, was exceptional, with a variety of high-quality breakfast offerings. Exploring underwater wonders with Mr. Friday, Ismail, was a highlight, showcasing Gili's commitment to guest satisfaction. The impeccable service, personalized touches, and magical atmosphere make Gili a resort worth returning to—an extraordinary experience that left an indelible mark on my memories. I wholeheartedly recommend Gili for romantic getaways or family trips, as it holds a special place in my heart."
