"We loved our ocean and pool view lanai! We would have preferred the ocean pool was the “quiet” pool (there are three pools on the property), and the “quiet” pool is next to the pickleball courts. Within just a few days of our visit we were informed of an additional fee per night for A/C if requested. This information should have been included in the original ad. If it was there, it was buried in the weeds as we didn’t see this upon booking."

"The room was incredibly spacious, with a king bed, vaulted ceilings, and a cozy wood stove. There was also a charming alcove with an additional full bed overlooking the garden, with windows lining the entire side of the room. The location was quiet, with beautiful birdsong in the morning and frogs chirping at night, which made for the best night’s sleep of our entire trip. The space was spotless and had the feel of a peaceful jungle lodge — exactly what we were looking for. Plus, it’s only five minutes from Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park. Everything was communicated clearly well in advance, and the self check-in/check-out process was seamless."

"Very nice property! From the looks of the surrounding area, it looks like the property used to be much larger, including a golf course. But the resort itself was first-rate for the price. The staff were an absolute joy, and we have a great stay."

"Great little place tucked away 5 mins from Kahalu'u bay making it a great base for water activities and quieter than the locations downtown. The property was surrounded by lots of trees, plants and local wildlife. Supermarkets were close by with some options for food and the property was well equipped for reheating food or even cooking if needed. parking was offered but we didn't need it. The room was clean and the open air design still kept us cool though we would have some company from lizards and bugs every now and then, it didn't bother us. Great stay and hospitality, would stay here again!"
