Room/services/meal were all fantastic. However, the location is quite far from the nearest bus stop. It is a challenge if you travel with big luggage. Shuttle service (certain hour) between hotel and bus stop would help improve the rating. Room rate is rather expensive.

散策ツアーは残念だった

フロント等では親切な応対で感じが良かった。サービスで実施されていた早朝のガイド散策が、団体客の都合に合わせてコースが変更されて、本来の目的地(大正池)まで行かず。朝の大正池を期待していたので、とても残念。ガイドに期待して散策ツアーに参加したが、最初から言ってもらえれば、散策ツアーに参加せずに一人でもっと朝早くに行った。結局、途中からツアーを離れて一人で大正池まで行ったが、時間を無駄にした気分。 それと、ベッドのシーツにシミがあってあまり気分の良いものではなかった。 部屋は締め切っているにもかかわらず、虫が何匹も発生。殺虫剤が大活躍でしたが、これは仕方ないですよね。

川側の部屋に8月に夫婦で3泊しましたが、お部屋、お食事、露天風呂付き温泉、スタッフの方々の対応も全てとても良かったです。朝食はお野菜の種類が豊富なバイキングでとてもヘルシーでした。一つだけ、ホテルの玄関が21時半に閉まることで、夜に星空を見たかった我々としては、これが残念なことでした。

Beautiful onsen inn

This hotel is well-positioned in the beautiful Kamikochi valley, with a very special outdoor onsen. Western style rooms were large (for Japan) but wi-fi only in lobby.

Very nice and clean onsen. Kaiseki meal was good and a great experience. We stayed one night and then explored and hiked around Kamikochi for a day. You sleep on the floor on mats that they put out for you. Very comfortable and the floor is not hard at all. Beer provided in the fridge and there is a toilet in your room. No shower in the room as that is what the onsen is for...

The staff is very friendly and helpful. I left some money in the room and found this out when I arrived Hirayu bus terminal after checked out. I called the hotel and the manager arranged one staff to hand the money back to me in the bus terminal. Thanks for such arrangement.

温泉がよかった。午後7:00から7:30のあいだに男女風呂が入れ替わり、その時間帯以外は温泉に入り放題で、足の疲れも取れました。大正池から河童橋までの観光にはオススメです。バスターミナルと少し離れているので、帰りに荷物を一旦取りに帰るには不便。バスターミナルに荷物を預けてから、最終日は散策しました
