"The views from our room were outstanding! I appreciated the text offer to upgrade and so glad I took it. The sunset the Saturday we were there looked like an artist rendering and doesn't even look real in the pictures."
"This place said it was dog friendly, but they asked me to leave with my two dog's. I paid until for three nights, but only stayed one night. They said they will issue me a refund. Will look out for it."
"The room was not clean when I got in. Clearly the glitter on the side table overlooked by staff. I was exhausted from driving so I just laid down and woke up because the thermostat was malfunctioning and I couldn’t get it to work so at 76 degrees I was roasting. Called the front desk at 1:00 in the morning and Adam couldn’t fix it either and started to scold me about not calling right away and why didn’t I open the window? I was exhausted and fell asleep that’s why, and I didn’t open the window because I needed quiet and I was in a room next to the elevator and people talking. He offered me another room at 1:30 in the morning and I declined because my stuff was out and that would have meant gathering everything, totally waking up and not getting proper sleep for all I had to do in the morning. How is it that a 20 year old staff gets to scold a guest about how they should behave? I called the front desk in the morning and she was equally as rude, telling me I “refused” to move IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT— Let me make this clear. I did not REFUSE. I hoped I could get through the night—
What I want to know is when did Best Western make it a policy to be rude to guests and make it the guest’s fault for not being up to par.
After the morning call I tried to sleep until check out, put the privacy tag on my door and just as I fell to sleep, maintenance completely ignoring my DO NOT DISTURB sign.
I mean, what is this? I have to pay for rudeness and disrespect? "
"To their credit, the staff was helpful and got us a new room, but we still had to get a new room as soon as we arrived. The sheets were covered in dirt and stains; though things were tidied up, the place itself is worn down, and rugged. For the three nights we spent, it did its job when it comes to providing us a place to sleep, but other than that, it was very okay. It would not be our first choice if we came back to Arroyo Grande, probably not even on the roster. If you can afford another hotel that’s a bit more expensive, you might as well save for that one."
