"Suite was homely and cozy, downtown Peterborough is fairly accessible by car, and convenience store right down the road. The property has a beautiful garden visible from the patio with lots of birds visiting for those into birdwatching. Host was knowledgeable about attractions in the area, recommending multiple places for us to visit."

The house and property and gorgeous, the breakfast is big and delicious, and the programs that they run are great. I attended a Reiki circle that I found very helpful and relaxing. The shiatsu massage chairs are also excellent. I would return and I will recommend Rising Star!"

"The hotel is in need of a facelift, but the room we had was serviceable. However, the AC was noisy and made clicking noises when off. The building is in a very noisy area of the down town. It is located right across the street from an extremely noisy night club. We couldn't sleep because of it and left in the middle of the night. "Loved everything! Never done B&B and I think I was spoiled. Spacious room, Nice bed, pillows, lighting, t.v, jacuzzi tub, or shower and an eclectic mix of items and paintings/photos to look at. Also you will not get breakfast like that at a hotel. Served when YOU are ready to eat. My kind of place. Martin and Petra are kind and direct hosts. If they were all like this I would NEVER stay in a hotel again."

"If you’re looking for a clean bed to sleep in for cheap, this is fine. You get what you pay for. The carpets, halls, and elevators were not very clean. The room is bare bones, but the TV worked and the bed was decent. I needed somewhere to stay for one night. If I was staying longer, I’d have looked for somewhere a bit nicer."
