This appeared to be the most luxurious hotel in the area. We had previously stayed at A.J. Grand and found it did not have sufficient ameneties in the room and booked at Vivanta for the second night of our stay in Mangalore. Really happy we made the switch! The lobby and restaurants were upscale. Our bedroom and bathroom were clean, modern, and had everything one would expect. There was a strange odor in our hallway when we arrived, but we did not smell it again later in the day. The area around the botel is not great. It is not suitable for walking around/exploring. You'll need to take an auto if you want to get out.
