Quite old historical building, furnishings are also quite old but in good shape and cared for with dedication. The breakfast is amazing and provides a huge offer of different types of fine tasting pickled fish.

Very nice, clean, well equipped room. We had a last minute booking while traveling around Norway, and the staff was able to accommodate for our arrival after their reception was closed. There's also convenient parking available nearby.

The location was great for restaurants and stores. Parking was not convenient at all. The hotel is very old so they have some major water issues. The manager was not very helpful or friendly. I would not stay there again.

Nice stay in Mandal!

This hotel lived up to my expectations. It's centrally located in Mandal, just in the middle of the old town. The building itself is quite old, but it's been maintained well. Checkin went smooth at the bar of the restaurant. Two minutes after attending I was in my room already. The room is clean, well maintained and has everything one expects. Just a tiny detail: a reading light near the bed would have been fantastic. My stay included wifi: fast and reliable. Just a note: check the Norwegian site of the poster in your room for the password, as it has been translated to English there, and the English variant doesn't work of course. Breakfast was included. It was simple, but everything was there and everything was fresh. The bread was still warm, even. Staff was professional, friendly and helpful. All in all, I got a good stay and I definitely will be back next time when visiting this city.

If old charm is your thing, this is what you will love. The rooms are small and nothing fancy. The lobby area is roomy for sitting and eating. There is a wonderful outdoor patio. The staff was wonderful. It is also a restaurant and besides the breakfast (that is included), dining for dinner is an option (not included). Great location to walk to the City Center.

Value for money

Lovely atmosphere, clean rooms and great food. The hotel is older, but so much more charming than large chain hotels. We had excellent sushi delivered to our room and were gifted complimentary brownies (some of the best we’ve ever had) This was our second visit - but not our last.

Average property. Room was large enough but you could hardly walk around the bed and the bathroom was tiny. Room was south facing and very hot (no airco and 1 of the 2 window panes was stuck). On the site paid parking at the hotel was mentioned for 50 Nok, this was not the case! We were referred to a paid parking nearby which was inconvenient. Breakfast was good but no sweet options (pastries) apart from jam.

Spent one night here

We stayed one night at this hotel. Rooms are basic and clean, we found everything OK. We where a group of three people and had two rooms one of them with a shared roof terrace. Affordable public car park close by.
