Very quiet. Only 2 pools were open others were empty, wasn’t any entertainment on a night which was a shame but the view down at the sea made up for it

Was my 3rd time at hotel and apert from getting eaten alive by flies and moses witch this was the first ever time this has happened in Arenal still.had a good time met some good people who made holiday goood. And i will come back hotel soon its good location and fantastic value for money

Our building was a poorly marked labyrinth. The room we got first was not cleaned. When calling the lobby to see if we could change rooms nobody answered - so we had to lug all our bags back down through the labyrinth and haul it through the streets to get back up to the lobby. Customer service was non existent. New room was ok, but was missing blankets, when we noticed, we phoned the lobby again but no one ever answered. Ever. Hotel does not have its own parking. The one positive: Perfectly close walking distance to the beach.

Terrible hotel
All inclusive does not mean alcohol, which isn’t stated before booking. My room was filthy, the air conditioning was broken and my bed was stained and uncomfortable. You need a euro or 2 to use as a deposit for a very small plastic cup which again this information was not stated before booking. Staff are unhelpful and very rude. I can’t say I’d rerun or ever recommend

I understand you get what you pay for. However this hotel should not be rated at 3 star if the fact is that it’s a 1 star. It’s clearly a rundown hotel managed by a slum lord. There is mold in the bathrooms, roaches in the room and lobbies, the air conditioning does not work, the beds were itchy, I hope there were no bed bugs. The room was not cleaned by any service there was still sand on the sheets. The area is dangerous. The drink machines were empty. Overall this was a terrible experience based on expectation of at least a 3 star location. Had they said 1 star, then I fully understand. But this place should be condemned and shut down.

Staff are rude and unhelpful! When we arrived after a long queue and a very poorly hand drawn map of directions we arrived at our room in an anex of the hotel. The room stank of dirty toilet , but even better the air con had broke leaking and leaving mould around the ceiling dripping dirty water over the floor and into a bucket that was over flowing and a filthy floor. After nearly two hours of waiting and been sent back and forth by staff I got a key to another room which wasn’t as terrible but still wasn’t clean with also no towels in any rooms ! After this i waited another 2hours for the manager that was rude when approached and then after asking for a refund said the hotel doesn’t approve refunds , and there was nothing else she would do , she said she’d change rooms again ( but they had over 800 rooms so she can’t spend time to check these rooms before sending us so if it’s dirty she just shrugged her shoulders) and gave us 6 drink vouchers, but in no way would we get our money back ! We then moved to a room with the views of the inside of a high rise block of flats but in fairness was clean but only had one pillow and no towels . The air con didn’t work at all so which lead to been shouted at my the night manager and the security. Who between them couldn’t build a box fan together after another 1 hour 45 minute struggle for assistance , to be pushed out and told to call the policia! We left this hotel about 45minutes later at 4;40am !

MLL Palma Bay Club was very budget friendly that's why we chose it and overall it was short of satisfactory but reached ok. It's a short walk to the seaside and off street parking is fairly easy to find. The check-in/check-out service took quite a long time and it would be nice to have more staff available during the busy check in/out times. The front desk staff were doing their best but clearly overwhelmed with the amount of work they had to do with little help. The rooms we stayed in (Hawaii) were outdated and in need of a makeover. The walls of the room are quite thin so you could hear very clearly what the neighboring guests were doing, slightly awkward at times. We got the breakfast dinner package, the food wasn't amazing and coming for late dinner service there was little selection and the food wasn't that warm, it would be helpful if there were signs posted above the self-serve drinks with clear instructions. (Translated in the various languages about what is allowed to be had, I've never stayed in a hotel that didn't include soft drinks with dinner service, only water is served in dinner package). Also the walk to the dinner hall in Copacabana was pretty dreary and slightly confusing. There was an overwhelming amount of drunk guests (not the hotels fault) and culturally not family friendly if you're not used to topless women sunbathing around the family pool.

What I liked? The hotel served its purpose-a place to rest and shower plus 3 meals a day and 3 cocktails a day (of which I didn’t utilize). Staff was kind and fluent in different languages. Also they were prompt and courteous. Requests were fulfilled in reasonable time. 5 minute walk to the beach. It had a tv (which we didn’t use). Towel service was prompt. What didn’t I like? I don’t know where to start. Please keep in mind, this is the first time I had ever been to any part of Europe. Nothing bad happened. I guess I’ve just been spoiled by the American way. No micro fridge. No coffee maker. The double was actually 2 twins pushed together. The room felt like a closet. Food was subpar (all you can eat Buffett). We were on a busy street with lots of noise during the day and night. No alarm clock. Thin walls (we could here the guests next door having simple conversation). Like I said, the room served it’s purpose. Not the ritz, nor holiday inn and not the red roof.

The meal (breakfast and dinner) was delicious. Everything was clean. People were kind. It wasn't easy to park our car at all. We had to park quite far away. In the night it was really noisy from the street

It´s been almost one month now since we came back from our stay. We had some issues. Below is the email i sent MLL and my booking agency still haven't heard any word back for some sort of compensation. Here are the days where things where not functioning: The Wifi was Out from Sept. 5-7th The AC (Air Conditioning) was Out from Sept. 5th never got fixed. Thank You --------------- pros: - great location - front desk/security are friendly cons: - It felt like a cheap college dorm rooms. (USA) - I would skip the meals and just go eat out - its outdated but has potential Note: I hope they can resolve my case again have emailed both MLL Hotels and travel agency. I will update the statues of the case when i hear back.

The facility does NOT have laundry on site as stated when we booked. The air does not work all that well and if you leave the card in for the air too long, the water won’t work for awhile. They seem to play other languages as far as music but not so much English or Spanish music. Pools closed by 6:00pm which was horrible. Had to pay 1-2 euros every think you ask for a drink (refundable though). Food wasn’t all that great and it was the same thing every day. No microwave or fridge in the rooms which would have been more convenient. It gets VERY loud.

Terrible service. I queued up for 30 min to check in. This took me till 1.50 pm, and then was told to come back at 2 pm to collect my key. I complied and at 2 pm tried to reach the counter staff but they were busy doing check in for other people. So by the time I got my key it was 2.20 pm - one hour after I arrived!! This was because the staff took a very long time for each guest - they kept going into their office and out at the reception, back and forth for each customer. The same staff who attended each check in also in between attended to guests who were checking out. Ridiculous!

The anex builing to the resort was dispointing , you could hear all the noises from other room.Comfort is basic and the neighbourhood not very nice! Should not be rated as a 3 stars hotel but as a 2 stars !Its just an old block of flat that has been turned into a hotel ! Not recommended

The hotel is ok, the location is great, is it very close to the beach. The breakfast was awful, we paid for 1 week, we went the first day and we left right away without gatting anything, just wasted money on breakfast.
