to be an hostel was nice, but if i can say something, i would put some tends to cover the bed, i know that in hostels there is few privacy but this i think would be nice anyway my stay was nice and comfortable

very dirty place, the air con was not working and leaking, the bathroom is ridiculously dirty, highly not recommend to stay in here, the only good thing is the staff are very friendly.

Why did I give them my business?

The place smelled like sewer in each floor, the bathroom smell was awful. They provided a thin paper like blanket, I am still wondering why I peeled off the sheets to find human juices like on the mattress. Walls are also paper thin so you can hear everything from the adjacent room. The toilet didn’t have a flushing mechanism. Not even backpacking at “Bob’s Hostel” had such a bad experience. Location is great. I forget, I tried the AC unit, it didn’t work 😳

A (possibly mentally ill or likely drunk) man entered the dorm room in the middle of the night and wouldn’t stop talking (either in a language none of the guests seemed to understand, or gibberish) and making loud noises and switching the lights on. Other guests in the dorm room repeatedly asked him to stop talking and be quiet, to no avail. He went on for hours. The guest in the bunk bed below me tried to reason with the man (and presumably went to the front desk to complain) but after all packed her things and left the hostel. I waited and tried to asleep again but was awake for most of the night. I only had to leave at 6:30 but at 5:45 I gave up and left. The room was otherwise loud with street noise and bright because of street lights. I wouldn’t recommend or stay at this hostel again.

Many beds had no lockable racks/cupboards for keeping bags (essential for all travellers) ... those under-bed baskets that were lockable required a trip to buy a padlock. The bunk lights and socket did not work on most beds. Other guests arrived at 1am and then another group at 2.30am ... didn't really get a night's sleep. And all for €32 ... not cheap at all.

Poor staff experience. The check in staff seemed rude and disinterested. Also you have to pay a deposit in cash but it was €7 euros to withdraw cash from the atm close by so I had to leave my passport. This was at no point locked away or stored safely and when I asked for it back I was offered someone else’s. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting and smelt of urine and at no point in my stay were they cleaned. The light from the corridor was flicking on and off all night which shone straight through the window.

Shame on the owner of this rundown dump

Employees were fine (I felt sorry for them), though they lied about the warm water getting fixed. Property was not kept up what-so-ever. This owner is a SLUM LORD. The place was run down, dirty and falling apart... no hot water, wifi was spotty and slow, no light to each bed and some did not have working electrical outlets. And the place is not that cheap either. SHAME ON THE OWNER. Especially compared to what else is on the market.... you've been warned... stay away from this place .

I would not stay there again

Location ist great. Bed is o.k. No possibility to lock your things in the bedroom. All my things in the kitchen were gone within 2 hours. You get a card, but the downstairs door, leading to the bedrooms and kitchen was never locked. The room door had to be unlocked every time. That's good! The kitchen was full with a lot of strange people when I came back. There are 3 fridges, all of them not clean, no possibility to write your name or date with an edding. Fridges we're all full, with a lot of old stuff in there. Noone seems to bother. There is free coffee downstairs, that is cold and can be heared with the microwave. For me a No-Go. I rather have instant coffee. When I complained and asked for a reimbusement of my money because all my things in the kitchen got Stolen, they first said yes and then said no. Would I stay there again? No!
