Didn’t know street would be so noisy!
Film crew outside our window from 6 pm until 1 am yelling. Cop cars and FBI tank outside window for hours. At first we thought there was something terrible going on in downtown.
Racing cop cars repeatedly for hours.
We should have been notified- we would have chosen a different hotel. Not much sleep!
This hotel was meticulously clean and rooms were newly renovated. There is no front desk for check in . You receive an email with a door code. Parking is also a little quirky. You pull into an alley between the hotel and the building next door. You unload your vehicle in the alley then drive down the alley a little further to the parking garage and park on the 2-3 floor. There is a lovely little restaurant across from the parking garage ( where Greg Allman proposed to Cher) . Amazing selection of liquor and great food.
The hotel is only 2 miles from the Allman Brothers Museum. There are several nice restaurants within walking distance. The hotel also has its own bar in house.
I would definitely visit again
Bed was the best we have ever had. Great pillows. Modern take on a very old city. Keyless check in. The Staff "Kat"hotel manager and Abby the bartender were delightful. So many windows to see everyone and everything! Curtains fully blocked the lights out and any sound. Smelled great in the room with a sound machine next to the bed. Ac was a unit up near the real tin 12 ft ceilings. Worth the trouble of parking. (We have a really big truck) Smart tv. The Quill bar had delicious drinks!! Cozy comfy setting. Everyone was very personable. Informative about the city and shared recommendations on food and attractions. Very happy and well rested!
I like the contactless process. It’s so easy. This hotel is surrounded by good restaurants and within walking distance to the Opera House which I enjoy. I travel solo and it’s perfect for me.
The Woodward is another great boutique hotel. Downtown vibes with great restaurants options within walking distance. “Quill” the on site lounge is incredible. Generous drinks, good bartenders! It’s on the Main Street through town, so traffic and some late night pedestrian noise. Worth it!
I loved the property!
My only critique would be that I was unaware about where to park until I was already parked and in my room the next morning. There was a printed piece of paper on a table in the room that I didn’t get a heads up about as to where NOT to park in the parking garage. When I scurried out to check on my car I had an obnoxious tow sticker on my window! Please alert your guests prior to parking that they need to display the printed paper on their dash and where to park. I would have been devastated had my car been towed. Aside from that the property was lovely.
