"I arrived at the hotel at 12:30pm; I was told that I couldn’t get my room as it wasn’t ready until 3pm. However if I paid 120 Euro then a room was suddenly available right then. Highly questionable "

"Good location and room was clean, however, the front staff was not helpful at all. We traveled overnight and we had not slept. We explained this to the front staff and we were told the room was ready but it just needed to be inspected. We were told to come back in 20 minutes in which we did. We sat in the lobby another additional hour to find out the room was ready the whole time. No apologies, they said in was a glitch in the system. When we got to the room we tried to put our valuables in the safe but the safe didn’t work. We contacted the front desk on multiple occasions with no luck to fix it. I returned three times to talk to the front desk as well as they finally sent somebody up to fix it from their maintenance staff. Still after three days of staying at the hotel the safe never got fixed."

"Hotel is ok but beware when booking a double room as you have a choice of a Double Room or a more expensive Courtyard View Room. Unfortunately I paid the extra only to find the one window in the room was surrounded outside by scaffolding and walkways if steel. I complained but there were only trainee staff who could not deal with the complaint. I was asked to put this in an email which I did the first day. I checked at reception the next day as there had been no acknowledgment only to be told the manager was on holiday for the weekend. No one has contacted about this and I was there 2 nights and then checked out at 11am Monday. I returned at 5.30pm Monday for our stored luggage and still no reply to the complaint. Beware when booking the more expensive Courtyard View room!"

Mercure Muenchen City Center

"We chose this mercure as near the old town and vienna central train station. We found one side of the hitel near Bayerstrabe was fine while the other end was shady. We also found the staff here were not friendly nor professional especially the reception staff on May 14th 2026 around 6 pm. We were given the welocme drink voucher when checking in for our four nights booking but the hotel staff bar said it was invalid. We checked with the man at the reception staff and he checked and said the drink voucher was a mistake by their check in staff and offered no apology. This person did not have any training on hospitality business and declined to give his name nor he wore any name badge. We did not like to spoil our mood to talk to this person nor like to spend any mobey in the hotel bar. Perhaps the management of this Mercure hotel should reassess their staff to provide the kind hospitality in a professional manner."
