"The Hotel El Ganzo was offering great rates for our stay dates, so my partner and I switched hotels and are happy with our choice. We arrived to the hotel around 1:30pm after a flight delay, and were told our room wouldn't be ready until check-in at 3:00pm, which was fine, because it gave us time to have a delicious lunch in their restaurant. The food at the hotel is on the pricy side, but there are other choices nearby that are excellent, like George's and Spicy Tuna sushi. There's also a hot dog/hamburger stand that has excellent reviews for good reason. Ubers work great there. My partner is big into fishing, so being close to the marina made things much easier for his fishing trips. I'm more of a beach lounger, and I didn't mind the short boat ride across the way to the hotel's beach area, which was created just for 3 hotels it seems. Cabanas and umbrellas were always available. I loved the cabana and caught up on my reading. The water was delightful, and the beach area was very nice and groomed. The food and drinks were also fantastic, just pricy, but that was expected. Even without an "all-inclusive" package, our stay cost much less than it would have at one of those places. The room was clean and well air-conditioned. We realized the reason for the great deal was likely because they were doing some renovations on the second floor, but the work going on was so quiet, we didn't hear it much at all. The staff were all wonderful, but a special shout out to Allen sp?"

"The place was funky and fun and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and we wish we brought more food to cook. We did a snorkel trip with another organization because they did not have enough people to take a boat out. The snorkeling was so great so make sure you do a trip! The beaches that you drive to are much nicer than the one close by for swimming. We never used the pool because every time we wanted to there were folks learning to scuba in it but it looks nice. We will return to Cabo Pulmo."
