Convenient for sites 15min walk to main square. Breakfast was quite basic but ok for us but if you like a lot of choice maybe not for others. Reception staff very help with lost luggage, sorting transport and general inquires

The hotel was suitable for what we needed it for; a clean hotel reasonably close to the bus station before travelling to the airport early the next morning. However I'm glad we weren’t staying there for more than one night / the main part of our holiday as the rooms were basic and very clinical; there wasn't even a bedside light. The breakfast was also basic with not much to choose from.

This is a basic hotel. It was affordable and a 15 min walk from the bus station and the old town. We felt safe and the staff was very friendly. However, the breakfast was average (the coffee less than average). The biggest issue was not the hotels fault - construction in the area blocked the entrance and we had to go around. When we first arrived I was concerned that noise might be an issue as it is located right next to an emergency room with ambulances coming and going. However, Our room was off an inner court yard and very quiet. Overall, if you are looking for affordability, a clean room and don't mind a little bit of a walk to the main tourist area, this is a good value.

It is close to the ethnographic museum, the national museum and museum of contemporary art, and not far from the main railway station, but slightly away from the tourist aria. Because it is next to the hospital it feels part of everyday life there. The staff members are friendly and super helpful. The name of the hotel derives from the meeting place associated with Maximilian in Mexico. It is great for a lone traveller as I was.

Clean,

Clean and basic tourist hotel with limited amenities. I found no hangers or glasses in the room, but staff was helpful to provide. Breakfast only adequate. Location close to cotycenter, bt 15 to 20 minute walk.

I have mixed feelings about this property. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, and the corner room itself was comfortable and decent-sized for 1 person. It would have been a bit tight for 2 people though. Breakfast was just ok... not a lot of options, but good enough I suppose. However, I didn't find the dining staff to be very friendly. What makes the property a bit less desirable is its location. It's a good 15 minutes or more from the train and bus station, which was farther than I expected since I was pulling my luggage. It's also about 15 minutes from the historic center of Ljubljana -- also slightly farther than I expected based n the maps. And oddly, the property is hard to find as the signage from the main street isn't obvious and the entrance to the hotel itself is on the back side of a rather sterile office-type building that is adjacent to the entrance to a hospital. This means there were hospital nurses, technicians, emergency personnel, family members of patients, etc. constantly standing in front of the hospital entrance -- smoking and talking. My room overlooked all of this activity and it was all very odd. Also, there was some construction going on right below my window at the hospital entrance, which was a bit loud in the morning when I was trying to sleep.

The room was big and everything was very new and good quality (furnishings etc). We found it strange that there were no glasses for our toothbrush or a drink of water by the bed. No coffee making facilities in the room which we really missed! Also there was nowhere to hang clothes (no closet or even hangers) Breakfast was fine

A good hotel quite close to city centre

We had a good stay at Meksiko. The room was good and so were the beds. The breakfast was very simple, far from the better we have had. It's next to the hospital so we heard the ambulance and the helicopter but not during the night so that was not a problem. A short walk to downtown.

Comfortable rest

Hotel is great, comfortable bed, quality towels, friendly staffs beyond expectation. Just would love to suggest providing the room with table tissue, glass cup & indoor disposable slippers, it would hv been perfect.

I enjoyed two stays. It's in a lively, slightly Boho, area, with both the bus/train station and centre/old town easily walkable. For a three star, the rooms were an excellent standard. My only criticism is the WiFi could have been a bit stronger. Best of all, the staff were very friendly and helpful.

We enjoyed our time in Ljubljana and Meksiko Hotel was great. Correspondence was good and late check-in instructions were simple. It was easy to walk to the main train and bus stations and close to Old Town. It is an hour away from Bled and the bus was only a few euros for a return ticket. The hotel itself was very clean and our room was comfortable. There was no noise from outside. All staff were friendly. Our room did not have a kettle but there is a vending machine downstairs with coffee and snacks at low prices. There is a Hofer/ALDI right next door. We enjoyed the breakfast and it was great to start the day with a full tummy! We definitely recommend Meksiko Hotel.

Better than it looks

While it was a bit difficult to find, the room was spotless, the beds were comfortable, and the staff was helpful when asked to provide room basics (like drinking glasses, pillows and a kettle since they provided no water). Breakfast was simple but good quality. I would stay again but would not recommend to anybody requiring more than a place to sleep.

Positives: Quad family room is huge and clean. Close to a supermarket. Free parking. Close to centre, approx 15mins walk. Breakfast is OK (continental). Negatives: Very basic. Air conditioning in room old noisy and smelly plus set at 24.7deg! Hotel is tired inside and out and locates in car park, hospital, supermarket area. We paid eur400 for 2 ntes, so a lot for not a lot but as i said it was a big room for x4 and clean. For a crash pad, its okay
