The hostel was fine and the single room with AC is quite nice for Africa. There’s widespread power shortage and the hotel has backup generators to make up for it. Adjacent to NP - 3 mo old Baby Rino with Mother - guarded by Rangers with AK-47s. Rifgt on the river - old school idyllic. Good breakfast included. Can't beat value.

Livingstone town itself as we drove through in a taxi seems rather 'Rural African'. I am sure there are some nice places to stay there somewhere but we were glad we chose Avani.
