However, considering the price, we were a little disappointed with the room, which was very simple and rather small. The pool could also benefit from being heated"
"It's fascinating to wake up in a room with the great mountains view and tasty Sri Lank breakfast. The owner also offers tuk-tuk ride in Ella. They have one-day package and one ride. The location is a bit far fr city center, it’s better because of quiet. Each tuk-tuk ride between hotel to city center is LRK 500."
"The view was amazing at Belmont it was absolutely breath taking and the rooms and washrooms were very clean. The breakfast was good as well. The only caution to look out for it there’s bugs that come in the room at night through the door to the balcony if there’s so hidden spaces, but if u stuff a bag or something in those spaces it should be okay. L'hôtel est incroyablement situé, juste au dessus de la voie de chemin de fer, et à 5 minutes à pied de la rue principale d'Ella (ça grimpe pour revenir par contre).
Superbe piscine, au calme et profitant de la vue.
Le petit déjeuner est excellent.
Les plats sont délicieux (parfois épicés, on est au Sri Lanka), ils servent aussi des cocktails, des lassi etc, et on a eu la chance d'inaugurer le stand de glaces !

"Stunning views, especially of the waterfall. Spacious and clean room. Our balcony was extra large! They served a very delicious breakfast for a good price. We actually enjoyed it more than when we ate in town. The internet was a problem though, it did not work or was so slow it was unusable, but thankfully we had a hot spot to take video calls for work. Would definitely recommend as long as you don’t need internet. "
"This year, I have slept on multiple beds in multiple countries. Colombia, Guatemala, Belize, Mexico, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Jordan, Sri Lanka, and Ella Green Cottages had the best mattress I've had all year. My first night at Ella Green Cottages was literally the best night of sleep that I had in months.
Also, whenever I needed anything, the employees immediately stopped doing whatever they were doing and saw to my needs. Best customer service I experienced in the country. "

The hotel itself is more of a guest house. Rooms are very basic - but very large. Can easily accommodate 4 people.
Breakfast is either sri-lanken or western, they are very generous with the quantities.
If you are looking for a 4/5 star hotel - it’s not the place for you.
It is a low budget option for families who prefer that kind of experience.

"An amazing experience, sleeping in the canopy of the forest. We saw lots of animals and fireflies at night. Accommodation is basic as you would expect but beds and bathroom were clean. Ella is a 5-10 minute walk away via the railway tracks. Route was easy to find as directed by our host. Breakfast was delicious and filling."
