A brilliant apartment in a great area...very close to numerous restaurants, bars, shops and supermarkets , making self catering a breeze.The apartment was extremely well appointed, modern and comfortable. Staff were very helpful and accommodating....giving great recommendations for nearby restaurants etc . Many thanks to Laura... for her help in finding a taxi on our last day ...and her friendliness

It's a lovely property. Everything was new and clean and nicely decorated. Parking is definitely a challenge. Plan well ahead if you are planning to arrive by car.

Fabulous apartment

The one bedroom apartment we stayed in was thoughtfully renovated and modern, with all the amenities one could ask for. Both the main bed and sofa bed were extremely comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. We hope to be able to visit again.

A very nice apartment with a reception below attended during certain hours. Locating the property and check-in was rather easy with frequent communication and clear instructions from the staff. The people are so friendly and helpful. It is well worth the price for such a great apartment in a location so close to everything historic.

I’ve never stayed in such a clean, practical and convenient apartment. Roomy bathrooms, tons of storage, easy to reach kitchen appliances and garbage bins, and very friendly and helpful staff. The neighborhood must scared you at first, but it is safe. And it’s in a very convenient part of town. Don’t miss Kossie’s Café, my favorit spot in Portugal!

5 night stay

The apartment was lovely, bed was super comfy, hot water arrived very quickly to the shower taps. The kitchen was well kitted out for cooking one’s own meals. There was even a small washer/dryer! The windows all opened but it was too windy to leave them open. Also, street noise was rather loud up until about 10:30-11:00 at night. The staff were lovely!

We are so pleased with our stay. The apartment was incredibly clean and very quiet considering the location. Excellent windows that keep street noise to a minimum while letting in lots of light and great views of a historical part of Lisbon. Our children made use of the baby bath tub, high chair and pack and play. We enjoyed the kitchen and the breakfast very much. It came with all the amenities needed to make easy meals. There’s a grocery store less than 10 minutes away by foot and numerous little produce vendors steps from the apartment. We were not at all worried about the location. While it may be home to many immigrants and unhoused individuals near the main square, we never felt in danger. The area is flooded with tourists.

Very conveniently located … straddles baixa and amalfa areas — 10-15 min walk to each … uphill for amalfa viewpoints and the castle. Metro stop Martin Moniz, starting point of tram 28 are down the street. Grocery store right across .. souvenir shops in the same street as opposed to expensive ones in touristy areas.. We walked to amalfa, San apolonia station for our train to Porto, baixa, castle and the church.. all within 15mins The street does give some vibes of being unsafe but u soon realize the adjoining street has a lot of immigrants so they are just settling into the city and hanging around the square The interiors are updated , - 1 room with a queen bed / the other with 2 beds — all kitchen appliances and an in-room washer plus dryer . Though we had to use a drying rack for our thick winter joggers and hoodies. Very gracious staff and the Christmas presents from them was a definite plus ..

Nice apartment in lively neighbourhood

Newly renovated apartment with all facilities. Crammed entrance and reception, but so are all streets and buildings in the neighbourhood. Charming tram line 12 literally runs just outside the balcony. Location is perfect for sightseeing and has plenty of small restaurants just up the road. Bear in mind that street are narrow and parking impossible. Drop off by taxi or Uber is fine thou. Only negative experience was the check out time at 10:00. Most other hotels in Portugal allowed check out by 11 or 12 by default. We refused to pay 45 EUR extra for one hour after spending in excess of 1300 EUR there. Apparently management doesn’t see it as an insult🙄

This is a beautiful, well-maintained property in a unique historical area. The staff provided exceptional customer service, in particular Margarida and Laura, and made us feel more than welcome. It is located in an interesting historical area, in the neighbourhood just below the Castelo de São Jorge, site of one of the most ancient fortifications in Portugal, and on the edge of the fascinating and colourful Alfama district. There are ample local shops and fabulous restaurants just steps away; in particular we highly recommend Gazzo across the street and Pizzaria Local e Kebab for take-away. The apartment itself was spotless, cool, and comfortable: a perfect haven from the heat and long walks around the district. We were fortunate to enjoy the start of the Festas de Santo Antonio on the streets of Alfama just outside the apartment, a massive evening festival of song, food, and grilled sardines that seems to attract everyone in the vicinity. Though it was a bit loud on Saturday night, it was also a unique and inviting experience and we enjoyed it immensely. Parking in the area is next to impossible, but Margarida and Laura were extremely communicative and helpful with check-in, check-out, luggage, and local information, and taxis and Ubers are plentiful and inexpensive, so we were able to simply return our rental and enjoy the city on foot. Our family of 4 had a wonderful time and we can’t recommend this property enough.
