Wild life just outside the door Very quite and calm beautifully view of coulees and the viaduct bridge. Huge fridge freezer combo excellent access and walkways at very reasonable price. These are obvious university dorm rooms in the off-season - felt like I was back on campus reliving my younger years.

Not fancy, but spacious, clean and good price

Kitchens are not stocked so if planning on cooking bring dishes/utensils etc. Limited channels on TV. Closets do not have hangers. Despite these hotel was clean, very quiet and convenient. Large room with two bedrooms, living area and kitchen for very reasonable price.

Great mult room suite with common room with two couches and a high table with four bar stools. Each of my 3 kids got their own room and bed. Suite is undecorated: no pictures on the wall.

Overpriced

The check in desk wasn’t open when we arrived and the signage telling you where to check in was confusing and poorly marked. It does not have air conditioning so incredibly hot especially on the 5th floor. The bed was also hard and uncomfortable. We were disappointed and will not stay again. The price is too high for what you get. Disappointing for sure.

Clean room. It is a dormitory room with about a 2-3 block walk to parking. There is A/C in the hallway but not the room so very hot in 35 degree weather. The staff did provide a fan upon request. Rooms are advertised as having kitchens, which they do, but there are absolutely no dishes, cutlery, utensils or pots and pans. The location was not found by GPS by the address. You had to put in the name of the building (Mount Blakiston House). The power was also out from at least 6:30 Am-12:00 noon one day, not their fault, but still an inconvenience which unfortunately added to a little disappointment with the facility. i did mention to the staff that I felt it was a bit misrepresented on line about the air conditioning, lack of equipment in the kitchen and the distance of the parking, which they said they would correct on line. I felt that in comparison with the price of a real hotel (which I could have gotten for a lower price, but chose this because it was close to family I was visiting) I probably would have been more comfortable and time saved in driving was used in walking instead.

Lethbridge trip

Nice clean and comfortable room. Kitchenette lacked supplies of any kind, we just needed utensils so that we could microwave our dinner after a long drive and late check-in. Convenient location and very quiet.

It was our third time staying there as a group and we really liked it again this year. Staying right on campus puts you near some good amenities (like Jamie Sandwhiches at the Backstreet Pub). The rooms don't appear to have climate control and the one fan provided was broken this time. Otherwise it was excellent.

So good

I loved this place. It's clean and new and has everything you need to be comfortable for a few days' stay. The fitness center lets you plug your ipod into the speaker system which is great. A bus full of high school students were screaming and giggling constantly on the last night which was annoying but whatever. Campus is relatively quiet in the summer so it's otherwise very peaceful. Deer run around on campus. They have summer bbqs which I wish my schedule would have permitted me to join. You could do a lot worse for this price.

Great value high for high-end student apartments

New and modern building. Plenty of big windows for lots of natural sunlight and great views of the coulees and Lethbridge. Very well connected to main roads and these are the nicest dorms on campus. The hotel is staffed by friendly students. The hallways have AC and there are plenty of common areas and conference/study rooms available for use. There is a small gym onsite too. Given that we stayed during a heat wave (+30C) and the rooms don't have AC it was warmer than usual however I really appreciated the extra fans that were provided upon request which made the heat much more bearable. The cleanliness left more to be desired however. For instance when we arrived, bread crumbs were all over the counter, the surfaces of the appliances (stove and refrigerator) were visibly dusty, and there were clumps and strands of hair in corners of the suite. While these were small details they could be worked on to make the place even better. Also, our flat screen TV had volume issues where it would occasionally get really loud for brief periods of time. While the channel selection is limited you have a decent variety of channels. Despite the "dustiness", hair in odd places, lack of AC in the rooms, and the TV volume issue the rooms are bright, modern, and cozy. I stayed in the 5th floor and the view was spectacular. Much cleaner than a motel, doesn't smell like smoke nor something unpleasant, I loved it and I would definitely stay again for the value. Just don't lose your room key!

Locked out for too long

First the good: we loved being able to stay in a suite with several bedrooms. The price was good and our whole family was able to stay together. We liked the kitchenette, been able to make our own meal. Now the not so good: the rooms were incredibly hot with only two fans in the entire suite. The bathroom floor was dirty. After going outside to put some things in the car, we were locked outside and none of our keys will work to get back in. There was no attendant at the counter to help us and we were simply stuck. Fortunately, we happened to have a cell phone and were able to call family to come let us in. There are warnings all over the building that if you forget your key, the hotel will charge you a lockout fee. I would like to charge the hotel a lockout fee. What kind of refund will I get for being locked out of the entire hotel?

Not the best. Wouldn't book again.

The room does not have AC and it was so hot you couldn't sleep. The mattress where super thin and hard. When they said stocked kitchen that was not true, one pot one little pan for the oven. Needed to have a broom and dust pan, needed at least one frying pan. Probably wouldn't book again. Only good thing was the size with two bathrooms and four bedrooms.

Dirty hotel, there were poop stains in the toilet.

The bathroom was filthy. The hotel claims it has a kitchen available for use. This was a two bedroom room but there wasn't enough dishes for two people to eat a meal.

Lethbridge's best kept secret

Will definitely stay again especially when we come back with a bigger group. Complete kitchen even in 2 person rooms. Available only during summer break.

Blast From the Past (Student Housing)

Needed a last-minute hotel in Lethbridge for me and my wife and kids, after a long drive. Spotted this one, and since I had attended the University of Lethbridge many years ago, thought it would be fun. I wasn't surprised that it was student housing being used as a hotel during the summer, that seems like a good idea. Upon arrival, had to call for someone to come check us in. That was mentioned in the email acknowledgment, so no problem. Once we were in, it was basic but clean, and accomplished what we needed for the night.
