"This place is seriously beautiful and may spoil me for more ordinary hotels. Gorgeous historic buildings and gardens. Our bedroom was very large with massive wooden beams across the ceiling. Calm and pristine cream decor. Very modern bathroom with beautiful ceramic handbasins and walk in shower. The breakfasts are of excellent quality and the dining facilities are exceptional though very formal. The heated

"Hotel was holding a large separate function which initially meant we were denied a table in the restaurant - we were on a cycling tour, staying one night, so this was frustrating after a long day's ride. However, on reflection, we were granted a table. Food was superb, facilities were great, once the initial restaurant hurdle was over, we found the staff friendly and helpful."
