Pension Gimmelwald is a great hotel, gives you a true mountain village experience. Rooms are spotlessly clean, staff is friendly and entertaining. Home cooked meals are fabulous. It’s close to all attractions in the area with easy access to trains and other transportations. The hotel has hard to find facilities like tennis court, garden, offers free good quality breakfast. "

"What a beautiful hotel in a lovely, quiet town. Honestly, there wasn't much to do in Hilterfingen - which was exactly what I wanted. The Bellevue is so pretty - charming old building - but so very comfortable. My room wasn't billed as having a lake view - which meant that it was on the side of the hotel. But what I had was a very comfortable balcony, with a stunning view of the lake and mountains on one side, and the charming Hilterfingen Kirche on the other! I could not have been happier with that location. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful and professional. The room was well appointed, the bathroom was terrific with great water pressure and comfortable features. The bed was comfortable, and I slept very well. When I awoke, the clouds from the previous day had lifted, leaving even more spectacular views of the lake and mountains. Honestly, I'd give the Bellevue 100 out of 100 points. My one night there was definitely a highlight of my Switzerland trip."

"We were only in Switzerland for a couple of days as part of a larger trip but the Hotel Bären was ideally located to explore the Interlaken region and for hiking around Kandersteg. The views from our room were stunning and the area was quiet and relaxing. It is preferable to have a car when visiting as the hotel is 15 minutes or so up a relatively twisty road. The staff were friendly, check in/out was straightforward and the breakfast was really good! "
