Gutes Hotel für Kurztrip nach Leipzig

Das Zimmer und das Bad sind sehr gross. Bei Aufenthalt darauf achten dass dieses nicht auf die Hauptstrasse geht sondern zum Hof hin buchen. Parkplatz etwas zu teuer. Der Frühstückservice am WE gut, montags genau das Gegenteil. Bei diesem Preis sollte zumindest Frischkäse, Lachs, frisches Gemüse vorhanden sein

Wir hatten ein großes Zimmer mit einen kleinem 1/2 Zimmer. Das Schlafzimmer war geräumig, sauber auch im Bad alles prima. Wir haben nur bei der Buchungen nicht aufgepasst und ein Zimmer zur Strassenseite gehabt. Direkt unterhalb sind Kneipen, da war am Wochende, bei schönem Wetter natürlich einiges los. Im Hinterhof gibt es einen kostenpflichtigen Parkplatz, sehr praktisch. Wir würden wieder kommen, allerdings zumindest im Sommer ein Zimmer nach hinten nehmen.

Barely a hotel

My visit started with an arrival at about 4pm, only to find the door locked and no answer on the phone number provided on the door despite multiple calls. In desperation I went around back--perhaps a service person could be found. By chance the kitchen boss was coming up the stairs from the basement. I explained and she apologized profusely and was very helpful. She said I should have been given an entry code or lockbox info so I could get the key to my room...Anyway, I was lucky. She told me breakfast started at 7 if I wanted it; since I probably didn't I asked if I could just get an espresso--no problem. That was true the next morning but the one after that, and another one, the door to the restaurant was locked; later I was told that was because nobody was expected for breakfast; they should tell all the guests that (the hotel literature simply says breakfast starts at 7...). But what finished off my respect for the hotel was when I came back to the room around 6pm a couple days later and found the door ajar, and a key in the door (not my key). Yikes. I went down and spoke to the bartender--poor woman since it had nothing to do with her. She called someone and was told it was the room maid.... The room itself had a table but no desk and the table was not near an outlet...not convenient for working. What I can say that I liked was 1) some people (when they were available) were very helpful and 2) the espresso (when I could get one) was very good.

Das Personal war immer sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Zimmer sind sauber und sehr gut eingerichtet. Lediglich der Preis für den Parkplatz mit fast 10 € pro Tag finde ich zu hoch.

Perfekt til prisen!

Super godt hotel til prisen. Midt i charmerede omgivelser med spillesteder, barer og spisesteder lige uden for døren, dog uden at der var støj på værelset. Derudover et fint rum og en varieret og velsmagende morgenmad!

Sehr gut

sehr schönes kleines Familienhotel, gute Lage mit wunderbarem Service und sehr freundlichem Empfang. Frühstück ist sehr ausreichend, alles was das Herz begehrt. Straßenbahnhaltestelle ist in der Nähe, somit ist alles gut zu erreichen. Leipzig ist eine interessante und lebendige Stadt und sehr sehenswert. Dieses Hotel kann ich jedem weiterempfehlen.

A great little hotel, perfectly situated on the main street with access to several good restaurants and supermarkets nearby. The room was clean and comfortable and had everything I needed. If you want value and homeliness in a central setting then this is the place for you.

Hotel was a good choice.

Nice hotel in vivid environment with many restaurants. From the streetcar station next to the hotel one can easiely reach the center of Leipzig. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The hotel has an own parking place for the guests behind the house. The hotel is my recommendation for a visit of Leipzig.

Great place! Was welcomed by Felix and his brother who made things very easy for us. The room we had was perfect for us, a family of 4 and a dog. The breakfast was perfectly set up in the restaurant with a great selection of healthy and tasty food. We will be back for sure!

Affordable hotel, Clean room, Friendly Staff

I stayed here in December 2017 while I was visiting Leipzig for 34C3. The hotel is a 10-15 minute walk from Bayerischer train station, manageable if one is traveling light. Check-in was smooth, but be aware that there are no elevators in the building. I found the room clean and well furnished. The road that the hotel is on is generally peaceful with the occasional street tram passing by. I got good night's rest every night. I did not purchase the breakfast though I did happen to have breakfast at the restaurant one day, and it was excellent. I highly recommend Hotel ViaCity, and would like to pass on a huge thank you to the restaurant staff for their assistance in getting in touch with hotel staff when time came for me to check out.

Gutes Hotel. Für diejenigen, die ihre Ruhe nachts brauchen, ist es aber kein guter Platz. Wenn man aber es kein Problem mit feiernden jungen Leuten nachts bis um 4:00 morgens hat, ist es einfach toll: zentrall, unzählige Ausgehmöglichkeiten, lustig! 😀
