The location is perfect for us. Also the last two times we stayed, we were on ground floor, which is good for us as there are no lifts. When we checked out the first time the receptionist was happy to book us a similar room. We appreciated this. All in all very happy and would gladly recommend this hotel.

great location and and quite affordable for a city hotel. I have stayed here before, and always get the "Expedia room' not what the picture shows, which was disappointing, and wish that they would show the room they are selling instead. Very deceptive.

Quite different to most motels, historically this was a grammar school now restored as an excellent hotel. Beautiful grounds and the room, while a little dated, had character and was very comfortable and warm. Excellent staff.

I highly recommend the restaurant (3 Steps on George). The food was very good and the staff were even better. The room was clean and comfortable but just a touch ‘tired’. Also didn’t really like the lack of a lift meaning luggage up and down stairs. Overall though it was a good enough place to stay.

Very comfortable for the traveller.

Overall a very comfortable stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, the bed very comfortable and the shower, well it was like standing under a waterfall. The shower head was big. Room service was fast and the food reasonably priced and good size portions.

Such an icon to Launceston! Neat, tidy ok for a night! But the rooms are a bit tired. Even though they're old, a few small updates can help to freshen things up. One of our bathrooms was very pokey, and difficult to move around. The toilet roll was out of reach too. The bedding and towels are crisp and white. Good heating, and good mini bar options. Kettle and tea/coffee in the room. Parking was tight. Looking forward to the finish of the new part being completed. Looking good so far! ...

The entire place is a bit dated and could use some sprucing up, breakfast is average at best and the rooms and hallways are not very clean. Great central location with plenty of off-street parking, not the best but far from the worst.
