The Doubletree by Hilton is conveniently located at the end of the main historic district, so we could walk to restaurants and museums. The staff is friendly and the rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. We would definitely recommend staying at this hotel and visiting the beautiful city of Kosice Slovakia

I stayed twice, two nights each time, and it was wonderful. The friendly staff was knowledgeable and multilingual, the restaurant was great, and the available complimentary cookies, fruit, water and lemonade was a thoughtful touch. It's such a convenient walk one direction to the Old Town historic district, and just one block the other direction to the modern shopping mall, food court and conveniences. Excellent hotel.

Standard hotel. Rooms are rather small, the water pressure could be better. Sauna needs to be preheated by present person because of the sensor. If you like your sauna just a little warm, you will love this one.

Despite being part of a well recognised international chain, this hotel struggles to steer from that all permeating, post-communism, Eastern European impression. The dark, oppressively gloomy reception and bar area feel anything but inviting and bar one or two guests, it’s very much a ghost town. Which was surprising considering I was told the hotel was fully booked and as such they were unable to offer me a room on one of the higher floors. So I woke up to a strong smell of fried breakfast at 5am, presumably coming from the casino below? Unlike the wonderfully friendly serving staff at breakfast, the ladies at the reception desk were somewhat cooler in their interactions. Speaking of breakfast, it was everything one might expect from the standard European selection, with freshly made pancakes a very nice bonus. You certainly won’t struggle to find a table as only three or four were occupied during my visit on both days. The room was tiny and the entire stay felt overpriced for the quality of the hotel. Cleanliness was 5*. The biggest surprise was a nasty office chair in my room covered in stains. As for the positives, the hotel is decidedly in best location in town - the Main Street with the amazing cathedral, fantastic restaurants and cafes and easy access to transport makes the stay very convenient. Worth noting that if you order anything from the restaurant into your room, the hotel will charge you extra 6 Euros for the privilege, which was a first for me!

Nice hotel, perfect location

Good business hotel with everything you expect from such a hotel. What sets it apart from other hotels is the perfect location, right at the entrance to the old town and still easy to get to by car.
