Parking is perfect, only a few metres from the Reception. There is an inclusive buffet in the evening, light salad and two hot dishes with vegetables, perfect light healthy meal. Didn't get chance to try the breakfast as I left too early. It's 12 mins from the Airport which opens at 04:30,

Very Relaxing stay!

A lovely comfortable stay. The room was very large and two comfortable chairs made it even more relaxing for our two night stay! It is older and dated but the service, room, comfort, and kindness was wonderful! Thank you.

Great hotel, great rooms. Very convenient parking. It is important to consider that the diner (buffet) and the parking are included in the price, so at the end it is a good value for money and Hotel Vallonia is a perfect place to stay. The center town of Vaasa is at 40 minutes walking or 5 minutes with the car.

Almost missed the flight

The hotel parking garage in the basement was not accessible early morning. The entrance hall giving access to the basement was locked, so was the reception area. No hotel personnel were present in the hotel. Coincidentally the fire alarm went off and all guests came down and had to wait outside in freezing cold. The fire brigade arrived. After a while the hotel lady manager arrived per bicycle and unlocked the access to the garage. We arrived just in time to catch our flight.

In de wereld van reizen wordt “modern” vaak automatisch gelijkgesteld aan “beter”. Strakke lijnen, nieuwe meubels, technologie die ons eraan herinnert dat we in het heden leven. Maar af en toe ontmoet men een plek die zich daar niets van aantrekt. Hotel Vallonia is niet het modernste hotel. En juist dat maakt het bijzonder. Het voelt alsof de tijd er ooit besloten heeft even stil te staan — niet uit vergetelheid, maar uit tevredenheid met wat al goed was. Het personeel is oprecht vriendelijk en behulpzaam, zonder gemaakt vertoon. De kamers zijn degelijk, uitstekend schoon en voorzien van heerlijke bedden die een reiziger precies geven wat hij nodig heeft: rust. Het buffetdiner, complementair bij de kamer, is klassiek en verrassend smakelijk. Het ontbijt volgt dezelfde lijn: royaal, vertrouwd en simpelweg erg goed. In een wereld die voortdurend vooruit wil, is het een verademing een plek te vinden waar de tijd — in de meest positieve zin — even stil is blijven staan. Wanneer ik hier ooit weer terugkeer, hoop ik dat precies dát nog steeds zo is.
Het bereide brood is een absolute aanrader!
