I think this place does not deserve the negative reviews it gets. First, there are NO accommodations on the beach. It's a small island; almost everything is on a hill. Cleaning is only every 3-4 days or on request; this isn't a 5-star hotel! This is the ONLY truly Green Accommodation I have encountered; the owner deserves respect & gratitude for trying so hard against the wave of the non-caring. The staff is friendly; they are doing the best they can. The food is decent. The room was much more than I expected. I was happy with my choice and would choose this place again.

Don't stay there

Don't go to this place ! The owner was terrible and room was a living nightmare in the heat full glass door 4 day stay and the room was never cleaned 1 kettle and no tea or coffee provided no change of towels and no were to sit next to beach as outside people used beds (only 4 ) from restaurant beach excellent but very steep hill up and down to get too

Schön gelegenes Resort in direkter Nähe zum Tanote Bay. Die Häuser sind schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, und die Einrichtung ist abgenutzt, für Thailand aber eine schöne Unterkunft. Durch die Lage in der Vegetation gibt es entsprechend viele Insekten, welche auch mal ihren weg in die Häuser finden, das ist aber auch nur schwer zu vermeiden. Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt und würden hier wieder Buchen.

Bugs bugs and more bugs!

We booked 2 room and on arrival inspected both rooms before checking in. Both rooms smelt damp and unclean. We were offered 2 other rooms which smelt better and were cleaner but were smaller and situated in the staff living area. The location and food options are good and access to the beach was brilliant.

Zimmer dreckig und abgewohnt, Strand sehr schön

Personal freundlich, Zimmer recht dreckig (Bungalow mit Ventilator, ca. 30€ für das Zimmer pro Nacht ohne Frühstück). Als wir ankamen war Sand und Dreck auf dem Bett unseres Bungalows, auf dem Boden lagen tote Insekten und Eidechsenkot (auch im Bad). Auf unsere Bitte hin wurde dann das Bett frisch bezogen und es wurde oberflächlich durchgefegt. In den 4 Tagen, die wir dort waren, wurde unser Zimmer nicht ein Mal gereinigt oder das Bett gemacht obwohl das Personal wirklich nicht übermäßig beschäftigt gewesen ist. Das Moskitonetz war gut. Zu unserer Überraschung hatten wir sogar warmes Wasser. Auch das Restaurant war ganz gut, direkt nebenan gibt es auch noch zwei andere Restaurants. Der Strand ist schön, Liegen oder eine Süßwasserdusche am Strand gibt es dort nicht. Die Korallen sind leider fast alle tot, aber es gibt noch ein paar hübsche Fische zu sehen. Das Hotel verleiht kostenlos Taucherbrille + Schnorchel. Die Straße zum Hotel runter ist wirklich ziemlich steil, sodass wir uns doch nicht wie eigentlich geplant einen Roller ausgeliehen haben. Wenn man also mal an einen anderen Strand will ist man auf die auf der ganzen Insel überteuerten Taxen angewiesen. Allgemein ist die Lage eher ruhig. Wir würden das Resort eher nicht noch mal buchen.
