I liked the stream running through the middle of the hotel. It was very soothing. I enjoyed the hotub. I didnt like all the stairs.

Overall the hotel was good for a short stay. The room was well worn, but was decently clean. Staff were nice. They charge $75 if you want to checkin before 230pm and the shuttle only runs to the airport for the Alaska Airlines flights. It is convenient to the harbor area. I would stay again if I were coming in to fish or fly out to another location the next day.

When checking in we were way early. But luggage storage and frozen fish storage were great options. Instead of wondering around desk clerk offer an upgrade to be able to check in early. A room was available and we were able to relax and enjoy Kodiak City at our leisure.

The room was cold and made my stay very uncomfortable. The night clerk made me feel like I was annoying him. The day clerk had a much more cheerful and welcoming personality when I left. The breakfast is good, just the nozzles for the drinks poured liquid very slowly. The entrance doors kept freezing so we had to push them upon entry. The "harbor view" is NOT a good view for the fireworks. The angle makes it difficult to get any nice photography. Everything else felt outdated. I thought "sofa bed" meant that it pulled out as an additional bed, but it didn't. So, if you want to put anyone on the sofa bed, it's really uncomfortable.

Good place to launch an adventure

Kodiak Inn is always a great launch to your Kodiak adventure. A convenient hotel shuttle runs when AK Airlines flies bringing you and your gear to the hotel. The included breakfast is a great perk as well.
