Hotel Okura Kobe was an excellent choice for the trip to Kobe. The hotel was top level, spacious rooms, outstanding amenities, including state-of-the art gym, swimming pool with marked lanes, powerful jacuzzi, hot and cold water tubs in spa area, delicious cuisine, impeccable service and staff. It is highly recommended!

Great Place for Family Trip

The hotel is next to Kobe Port Tower. You can walk to Umie Mosaic and Motomachi. The hotel offers a free shuttle service between the hotel and Sannomiya which is very convenient. You get free water with the room service. The room is clean and quiet.

Lovely hotel and our room had great views over the harbour. Only 5 minute walk to Chinatown and shopping areas. Port and City loop buses stop right outside hotel and give easy access to Various areas and to Shin-Kobe station for Nunobiki Falls and herb garden which are well worth a visit. Only slight downside was the elevated roadways near the hotel.

Very clean and welcoming. A close walk to either Motomachi or Sannomiya stations, with the hotel even providing a shuttle to and from the station (though I did not use the service). Meriken Park is right behind the hotel, along with Harborland, which had plenty of food and shopping. We had a beautiful view of the water and city, having stayed on the 24th floor.

Very big hotel. Twin standard room was very big. Very comfortable. Vibe is more towards older / sophisticated / formal. We didn’t do more than sleep there. Breakfast buffet was twice what paid in Kyoto so we skipped it. Easy walk to China Town / JR line station. Shin line is farther, not walking distance. Lots of restaurant's in the area. We day tripped to Himeji and Osaka from Kobe. Good location.

The description states pool. Did not expect to have to pay to use it. It should say no pool. Or add the cost to room stay. Will not stay again

It’s perfect in many aspects, but I cannot deny a sober and sterile feeling. If only the bathroom glasses were not plastic or the towels were softer.

Hotel has blue shuttle bus from Shin Kobe train station. Lovely, quiet dated hotel on the water front with several dining options and small convenience store. Room was clean and spacious but had peeling wall paper and a view of the freeway which was a bit noisy. Requested room change but were told we would need to pay for upgrade. At $180 for room, we did not upgrade. We selected this hotel for the pool. BE AWARE pool is in a health club they charge $20 each to use and is not suitable for younger children as you are expected to swim in a lane. Likely that is in the fine print somewhere I missed. Likely you can find a cheaper better option and skip the pool

This hotel is in great location in Kobe’s harbour front. The city loop bus stops right in front of hotel so easy to get around and tour the city! Rooms spacious but a bit dated. Rooms were comfortable and has gorgeous views! Very clean hotel but didn’t enjoy the restaurant.
