From the outside the property looks great but the reality is that it fails to do the most basic of requirements from a hotel, which is to, at a minimum, provide a comfortable bed. A complaint I heard from every guest, myself included, is that the mattresses are absolutely rock hard. I've literally slept on carpeted floors that are more comfortable. The mattress is so bad that it gave me back pain so much that I would wake up multiple times during the night. To make matters worse, they seem to not understand what comfort is and none of the wooden seats at the restaurant or even the hard plastic (and battered) sun loungers have any padding on them whatsoever. Plus, if you expect a peaceful beach, you're mistaken. Long tail boats fly by almost constantly creating a phenomenal noise, and when they weren't, the hotel was blasting out musical so the idea of enjoying a tranquil beach isn't possible at this venue.
The one thing it has going for it is that the private section of ocean the property has cornered off is truly beautiful. It has an active coral with a whole array of tropical fish in water shallow enough to stand in. Feeling like your in a tropical fish tank is something I'll never forget.
