Lekker een ander hostel zoeken

Dit is wel het ergste hostel waar ik ooit ben geweest. Het personeel spreekt niet meer Engels dan; check in of check out en "deposit". Maar de helft van de twee dames aan de receptie is aardig. Bed was alsof ik op keihard zand lag, maar dan met een kuil die ik niet kon verplaatsen. Van de 11 wc/ douche combinaties had er 1toiletpapier en 8 een "werkende" douche. Maar schoon was het niet. Verder verkeert het hele gebouw in achterstallige staat van onderhoud. Het zwembad (de reden waarom ik geboekt had) was waarschijnlijk al maanden buiten gebruik.

A nice new hostel, everything's in good shape. The owner and workers are very kind. The beds are comfortable an de there are good showers. There's a nice area on the main floor to hang out/ play pool and meet others staying at the hostel. It gets a bit hot in the rooms during the day because they turn of fun the air conditioning, but I guess you don't really want to be hanging out in the rooms during the day anyway.

Hostel was completely empty which is understandable since I came in the off season. There were bugs (millipedes under my bed, and a cane spider in the shower). My bed also didn't come with a blanket. Only the sheet covering the mattress and a pillow. I was happy to check out and into a new hostel the next day.

+Dorm mit zwei sauberen Toiletten und Duschen direkt im Zimmer +ausreichende Zimmergröße (genügend Platz) +jedes Bett hatte ein Schließfach +netter Aufenthaltsbereich (gute Musik und gut zum vortrinken) +Hostel hat Farben für fullmoonparty zur Verfügung gestellt +Decke und Handtuch +warme Dusche +7-Eleven und Big A Supermarkt direkt vor der Tür +Hostel hat Taxi zur Party organisiert +10 Minuten zu Fuß vom Pier entfernt -Mülleimer im Dorm wurde innerhalb 4 Tage nicht geleert -weit von Fullmoonstrand entfernt

Walking distance to the port

For the price I paid, this amenities were well-matched. Basic double decker bed, toilets and showers in the room and lockers for each person. Generally clean, but was a bit sandy near the front area. No complaints on this. You'd have to bring your own lock though, as the lock is not provided. The staff gave me the key to the room as I was the only one occupying the room at the room. The downside? As I was in Koh Phangan during the off-peak - nowhere near the Half Moon or Full Moon party timings, the hostel was practically empty besides a handful others. Can be a bummer if you're travelling alone and looking to do group activities with fellow patrons. Another thing was, I found 2 millipedes in the room. The staff was kind enough to help remove one of them, but I had to dispose of the second one myself as staff normally leave the premises around 6pm. On the whole, I'd recommend this hostel for travellers on a shoestring budget looking for a place to just sleep and shower, that's not too far from the port.

Nice hostel. Basic and cheap and fun place. Great food served and helpful staff. Great cleaning service daily and wash facilities. Got free sunset tour to a viewpoint and as you are near all food and shopping it's great.
