The staff couldn’t tell us which rooms did not allow pets. We are asthmatic and they put us in two different rooms that had had pets because they couldn’t figure out which rooms did not allow them. There were bugs in the breakfast area.

What is not to like! Our stay was awesome. The only minor glitch was 318 has some mold on the bottom edges of the shower and the shower floor could be bleached and scrubbed. Please consider 4 bath towels in each room. We will stay here each time we stay in Kirksville from now on.

The front desk staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was great. The room was very nice and very clean. The gym was very nice and very clean.

We have been traveling for 3 weeks around the Midwest. Each night has been a different hotel. This was the most expensive and the absolute worst of all of them. My husband had to fix the toilet. The hallways were sticky from someone spilling. Cigarette smoke from downstairs came up into the room and caused me to have an asthma attack. There’s a reason we get nonsmoking!! Went to breakfast at 8:40 and there was nothing left! And they refused to refill anything. Said they didn’t even have a box of cereal!! $200 for a room to be miserable and then not even get an apple for breakfast. Do better!!

I didn’t like the light on the ceiling that kept flashing. I don’t know what kind of alarm or alert system. It is when you’re trying to sleep. It’s very hard to with the flashing light.

Breakfast on first morning lady kept things clean and stocked. Younger lady was in the back on her phone all the juice’s were empty. Had to go to front desk so they could get her. Tables not cleaned. She filled the juices and was in the back not to be seen again.

BEWARE: Someone at Hampton Inn Kirksville, MO is committing credit card fraud. I know because I have been fighting it for months and just today I sent a 32 page document to my credit card’s Fraud Department detailing the facts.   The Guest Folio and Merchant Sales receipt that Hampton Inn provided my credit card company was full of mismatches and inconsistencies. For example, they charged a Mastercard that I do not own then tried to get that money back from my Visa. Another example, they were unable or unwilling to provide the Merchant receipt from when they claim the original charge was made so they provided a Merchant Sales receipt with a date that did not match the Guest Folio. Even more, the date on that Merchant Sales receipt did not match any dates on my credit card statement. FRAUD!!!!   If you book this hotel directly or through Expedia like I did, make sure you watch your credit card statements. Better yet, do what I do and make every transaction over $1 text your cell phone. This way you have an additional paper trail if fraud is happening on your credit card.   This nightmare has made me, my family and my friends hesitant to stay at any Hampton Inn or Hilton property in the future.

When booking through a 3rd party agency you pay the site and they pay us with a prepaid card that is not your personal card, which is why the Mastercard was charged for the room. I apologize that your card was charged by mistake at first, and was refunded to you with the 3rd party card charged correctly for the room. Charging the 3rd party card is not fraud it is actually how your room gets paid when you go through a 3rd party as I mentioned. Stay was clean rooms, safe area next to main dining and shopping needs. Check in was not smooth. I did not receive any emails with confirmation number and had daughter with 2 small children waiting in cold weather to get checked in. I literally had to search foe 20 minutes to locate needed numbers for their check in. It was also 11:00pm for their check in and paid conformation was atleast 4 hours prior to their check in.. due to snow and road conditions ..

Every employee I interacted with during my 2 night stay was pleasant, friendly, and helpful. Hotel was clean and decorated for the holidays. Breakfast was good & had a variety of items. Bed & bedding were very comfortable. Great place to stay.

Hotel room was very clean. Beds were very comfortable. Noise could be heard in the room from both the hallway and the room above us. Personally, I think the above noise could be greatly reduced with better padding under the carpet. The noise in the hall, maybe better doors or sound reducers hung on the walls and perhaps some padding under the carpet out there too. Lastly, we thought the bathroom were wierd, they have: 1) barn door entry doors, easy for little kids to open, 2) Clear glass door showers = no privacy. We were looking forward to waffles in the morning and the waffle dispenser was not working (couldn't some batter be made in a pitcher?) Food worker seemed crabby. When asked about if there was more bacon, she said not right now, then proceeded to bring out more bacon a few minutes later. Odd.

house keeping was by request only, quilt on bed had what appeared to be blood stain. Wash cloth was tread bare, had patchy brown stains. Front desk refused to provide printed receipt.
