If we are ever back in Amsterdam we will definitely be staying here again! We got breakfast at the hotel on one of the days and loved the selection and drank a delicious latte! "Staff were excellent. Helpful and friendly. The room was pleasant. Breakfast was good. I would have preferred a walk-in shower. Rooms were advertised as having either a walk-in shower or a bath. I wasn't asked about my preference when I arrived. I have arthritis in one of my knees and stepping over the bath is starting to get difficult. It's not really an issue for the hotel but the taxi that was arranged to take us to the Centraal Station on our departure was a hassle. The driver wanted to sell us train tickets and then wanted to drive us to Schiedam for 150 euros. I couldn't see a meter in the cab and was surprised when he charged 35 euros. "
