"I was in town to attend an inspection on a house we made an offer on in nearby Becket. The Whitlock was perfect for me. It was conveniently located, in town, close to dining, and with easy parking. The inn was historic, charming, and had lots of character. It was exactly what I was looking for. There is now staff available on premises from 7 am to 10 pm. I was able to check in on site. The outer doors were locked at night. I would definitely come back."

"Beautiful stay. We booked last minute and it was amazing! We were able to book the room with jacuzzi and a fireplace—which made the whole stay so romantic. Will recommend and am planning to visit regularly. Hoping to return in the fall but definitely next spring. This family works hard and takes pride in their Inn and it shows in every inch of the grounds. Loved every minute!!"
"The hospitality and attentiveness was outstanding. Both John and his wife Patti were there for any needs we had. I had by accident via Expedia set my arrival date for a day later than we arrived. When we got to Shaker I discovered this. John accommodated us nevertheless. The grounds were great and the morning breakfast was welcoming. "
"What a wonderful one-night stay on the July 4th weekend. It’s a beautiful, comfortable inn with lovely hosts. Also in a great location, set back from a fairly busy country road with several good food options nearby, and charming villages and towns to tour. Highly recommend. "
