システムは完備されてないし、態度も悪すぎる

まず、これはひょっとすると当ホテルに限らずネパールのホテル全体に当てはまるかも知れない状況だが、ホテルズドットコムでの予約番号等あるにもかからわず、予約がなされていないとフロントで言い張られてた。（当日同時間帯に私以外４人同じ目にあっていた。） オペレーション的には、ホテルズドットコムでの予約が瞬時にオンラインで反映される訳ではなく、それをネパールにいるエージェントとやらにEメールで送り、そのエージェントがまた個々のホテルに送って、ようやくホテル側は予約の有無を認識する、という流れのようである。 が、私は宿泊の当日に予約サイトで予約をしたので、当日ホテルに行ってもホテル側は認知していなかった、という状況のようであった。 が、それをホテル側も理解していない。 ホテル側の態度は苦々しく、内部のシステムしかチェックせず、強硬に予約などない、と突っぱねてくる。 さらに言うと、予約係は自宅に帰っていて、「何で私が家に帰ってまでチェックしなければならないのだ」と客の私に対して怒ってくる。 やかましい、自分の仕事をしろと何度か強硬に言って、ようやくぶつぶつ仕事をし始めた。 しかし自社内のシステムしかチェックしないので予約が見つからない、ないないの一点張り。 私が自社内のシステムだけじゃなくて、ホテルズドットコムに確認しろ、と何度も促すと、ようやく面倒臭そうにネパール内のエージェントにコンタクトした。 ここまでが約1時間。 今度はネパール内にいるというエージェント。このエージェントは、最初、そもそも本日はいっぱいでホテルズドットコムからの予約など受けてない、と言い張る。が、その後、実は５０％高い値段だったら空室があるぞ、と小声で言う。 何をふざけたこと言っているんだ、完全満室だったら、いくら払おうとないというんだったらともかく、50％増しだったら部屋があるとは何事か、と言うと不貞腐れる。 全く嘘つきで、らちが明かないので、私がホテルのフロントに、「直接日本のホテルズドットコムのカスタマーサポートに電話するから電話を貸してみろ」と言い、電話して状況を説明した。ホテルズドットコムのカスタマーサポートから、エージェントではなく、ホテル側に直接Eメールで予約メールを流してもらって、これでようやく解決。ここまで2時間。 その間に他の４人の客は、「返金不可なので、お金帰ってくるかなあ」と言いながら、諦めて出て行った。 ネパールのカトマンズ地区のエクスペディア・ホテルズドットコムのエージェントは、F○○Kなどの汚い言葉は使うは、追加の金を踏んだくろうとするわ、態度が非常に悪い。 またホテルズドットコム側も当日のネパールでの予約はこのような事態になるということを把握すべきだと思う。 さらに言うと、このホテルの名前だが、外側にはAirport Hotelとしか表記されておらず、内部にもどこにもサミットレジデンシーとの記載がない。 このため、最初は違うホテルに来ているので予約が見つからないのかと思い、何度もホテル側に確認したが、サミットレジデンシーで間違いなく合っていると宣う。 ２つ名前があるのか？ ここから、胡散臭く間違えの素のような気がする。 施設の中、部屋等は清潔だった。しかし、隣の音が漏れなく全て聞こえ、男女の○○○の声が両側から丸聞こえだった。

Didn't have the room I paid for, got stuck with a lesser room. Didn't have ANY rooms for other days of my stay, still trying to get refund. Picture of hotel is deceptive. When cab dropped me off I thought they took me to to the wrong place. "Revolving" restaurant up top doesn't revolve, it's just round. Food is passable. Typical slightly warped version of western food. But expensive for what you get. Beds are rock hard, non-smoking room smelled of smoke.Didn't have the right room when I first arrived, and didn't have ANY rooms for me for a later booking at the same place (same trip, booked the same hotel twice) it IS close to the airport. Probably can walk there during the day, but I didn't try it at night. Not knowing how close it was I agreed to 500 rupies for the ride. Should have been 200 rupies. I'd recommend staying here only if being close to airport is super critical. 500 rupies will get you a cab to a ton of different hotels.

Close to airport but uncomfortable

Moved me out of original room because I was a single and had accidentally booked as couple. Showed me double twin. Told them I wanted bigger bed. Showed me another room with double bed but room smelled like ashtray. Ended up in second room and tried to sleep on the most uncomfortable twin bed ever. After a 30 hour trip was looking forward to a good night's sleep. Did not happen here. Usually stay at Shankar but figured it was only for one night til next flight I'd stay close to the airport. Won't stay here again. $9.00 breakfast "buffet" too expensive for what was offered but omelet was ok.

Quality stay right next to to airport

Location is great for late arrival or early departure - or, in our case both with a 7am helicopter trip. Walking distance from airport. Staff service is superb - very very friendly and helpful (allowed us to leave luggage and shower even after check out). Rooms and cafeteria are a bit outdated but clean and quiet. Breakfast (included) was very local and thus super tasty !! We stayed there again on our return from Pokhara before flying out.

Top notch

An excellent hotel with fantastic staff. In addition to the hotel stay, they helped me with the rest of my trip by helping with internet, phoning, and even some translation. They also are extremely convenient in their airport location, and kindly held our bags for us for about 8 hours after our check-out, prior to our flight.

The location is great for convenience to the airport. The quality seemed to us fantastic after the teahouses on the Annapurna circuit, so it's all a matter of perspective!!!
