Disliked: Staff & service, property conditions & facilities

Bankrupt hotel, absolutely run down.

We arrived at the hotel; it was all chained up at the gates. We called hotel but just got an answer phone message. We also called hotels.com to inform them of the hotel had shut down. They tried to contact them but failed to get a response. So we never stayed and I am awaiting a refund for the trip. Further later that week in the town I spoke to local people and they confirmed to me that the hotel was shut down over 2 years ago due to financial issues.
