Good resort but wouldn’t rate it 5-stars

Good resort. Our room was good and spacious, the bed was big and comfortable. The quality and variety of the meals was good. In general everything went very well (mainly because the resort was nearly empty and very quiet) except for the seaplane departure scheduled to 4 pm when our flight was at 10:20 pm! With no lounge access. Also the time at this hotel is one hour ahead, which made it even longer. We arrived at Male airport at 3:40 local time and waited until 22:20. The resort’s decision to change the time to one hour ahead was an unpleasant surprise and should had been informed in advance so we could decide if we were up to it. Days felt shorter and it makes a difference on departure day. Hoteliers should understand that check-out is as important as check-in. The seaplane flight of our friends from a nearby resort was at 5:30 so the excuse that 4 pm is the last departure is simply not true.

An unforgettable paradise experience

Six Senses Kanuhura is truly a piece of paradise. The island is stunning, with breathtaking scenery and an atmosphere of complete serenity. The breakfast was absolutely outstanding, with a wide variety of Western and Asian options, fresh tropical fruits, and an impressive spread to satisfy all tastes. Every detail is thoughtfully prepared. One of the highlights of our stay was the exceptional service. Every team member speaks English and goes above and beyond to personalize the experience and anticipate your needs. The level of care and genuine warmth is extraordinary. The Kids Club is excellent, with thoughtful activities and a caring team, which made a big difference for our family. The butler service was also a highlight — special thanks to Shania, who supported us with grace and efficiency throughout our stay. We were also impressed by the daily restaurant service — Vel, who looked after us during meals, was incredibly kind and attentive, making each dining moment feel special. And a heartfelt thanks to Chef Maggie, who showed great care and attention to our family’s needs with kindness and creativity. Dining options on the island are wonderful, with restaurants truly committed to guest satisfaction. Every meal felt special. And as a bonus: there’s unlimited ice cream available every day — the coconut flavor was our favorite! We are deeply grateful for such a magical experience and wouldn’t hesitate to return. Kanuhura ha superado nuestras expectativas en todos los sentidos,la privacidad, la amabilidad del personal, la limpieza, la calidad y variedad de la comida que es excepcional, tanto el buffet como los restaurantes a la carta. La programacion de actividades es variada, hicimos dos excursiones de snorkel maravillosas. Pondria la pega en el spa que pese a ser maravilloso cambiaron el tratamiento sobre la marcha sin avisar a uno mas caro. El cliente no tiene porque saber la diferencia entra los diferentes masajes y se deberia avisar. El hotel esta en proceso de renovacion con lo que estaba una parte de la isla cerrada, pero aun asi tiene todas las facilidades y comodidades. Seguramente una vez terminado sea aun mas espectacular.

Fanstatic!

From the moment we arrived at the airport in Male the folks at Kanuhura took care of us. The island itself is spectacular. The villas and amenities superb, the food was fantastic, from the buffet to the restaurants it was consistently tasty, but it was the care and attention of the staff at the resort that needs to be commended. Although everyone was great, I'd like to make a special shout out to the following folks; Frank (big smile) Chef Michele Talib Vel Suresh Nioka Worth this rating for sure!

Simply perfect in every way. The location, the staff, the food, the rooms and all the facilities exceeded all expectations. When you see the pictures and assume they are Photoshop'ed... They aren't - it really is that amazing!

Fantastic for pure relaxation

We had an amazing holiday at this resort. From the moment you arrive on the sea plane to the moment you leave the service is impeccable. This is a place for those seeking privacy, relaxation. This is not a place to party. The food in the Olive Tree restaurant is excellent. The other beach cafe, the food was mediocre and disappointing. The over water villas as fantastic and waking up in the morning and walking down stairs into the sea was amazing. The snorkelling was good and we saw turtles, lots of fish near the villas. The dive centre is excellent and the spa services are also great. A place to relax and take in the wonders of nature at its best.

Отель в целом соответствует своему уровню. Из минусов это отсутствие рифа и не вкусная еда. Мясо и рыба заморозка, но это как нам сказали общая проблема для Мальдив. Свежего мяса и рыбы на атоллах по определению быть не может.(Со слов Менеджера отеля).

As close to Paradise as you can imagine. Fantastic diving, great food, friendly supportive staff, wonderful beaches! Obviously not free of charge but still not unreasonably priced.

un sogno ad occhi aperti..

..appena arrivati sull'isola, una buona accoglienza da parte dell'equipe ...camera assegnataci 112 con problema di luce..immediatamente ci hanno mostrato altre tipologie ed abbiamo optato per la 123, un pò più appartata rispetto alle altre ma vantaggiosa per la sua posizione climatica: rivolta all'alba e ventilata gradevolmente tutto il giorno ma soprattutto durante la notte. tornare a Kanuhura, dopo circa 9 anni, è sempre una intensa emozione: i suoi colori, la sua vegetazione lussureggiante,l'incantevole laguna con i suoi meravigliosi fondali dove fare un eccellente e divertente snorklling,l'ottima cucina nei vari ristoranti, il personale attento ed efficiente in ogni tua richiesta, fa di Kanuhura un resort fantastico e indimenticabile..
