AARA Wild Sigiriya

Kandalama

10/10 Excellent

Aara Wild near Sigiriya was the highlight of our whole Sri Lanka trip. From arrival, the warmth of the welcome set the tone – every member of staff, from housekeeping to guides to the kitchen team, was genuinely, unfailingly lovely. It’s rare to feel so looked after and so at ease at once. The activities were fantastic and varied: a sunset walk with incredible views, a relaxed afternoon tea, a chef’s dinner served poolside under the stars, and a hands-on cooking class. Each felt personal rather...

Amron Resort Sigiriya

Sigiriya

10/10 Excellent

I can’t recommend this place enough. I have never before receive the care and kindness as I did when I stayed at Amron Resort. The family owned accommodation treated me as if I myself was family - making me a delicious breakfast every morning regardless of how early I was getting up for trips. Also very helpful in arranging activities such as going on an elephant safari. If you’re reading this, please go for this. It really showed me how beautiful the Sri Lankan people are.

Calum

A wooden building with a sloped roof, a porch with a chair, and hanging light fixtures.

The Otunna Guest House

Sigiriya

10/10 Excellent

The staff were amazing and went above and beyond. They offered tips and always wanted to help to give us the best stay. The breakfast was incredible, there was a huge variety include rotors, fruit, pancakes, hoppers smoothies and curried dishes. The rooms were lovely with a ‘jungle feel’ with the well planted garden that the verandas looked over, complete with swings and regular seating for relaxing. This is 100% on the return list-i can’t recommend it highly enough.

Lindsey

A two-story house with a red roof, a covered porch, and a staircase leading to a second level.

Seasons Villa

Inamaluwa

10/10 Excellent

We had a lovely 3 day stay at Seasons Villa and were very well looked after by Lakmalee and Nelin. The house was only 1 year old; very clean and comfortable. They provided delicious and plentiful breakfasts and dinners and local medicines when I was ill one day. They were very knowledgeable about the local area and activities, including the best place to have an authentic Ayurvedic massage. Highly recommended.

Very large room with amazing view from the balcony overlooking acres of land and the lake. High ceilings and very spacious room. The bathroom was just as big equipped with a very large bath and large shower. The decor is amazing, the air-con was great, the rooms were very clean and the bed was so comfy. The location was great, the hotel was so peaceful and romantic, it's located in a large acre of land away from the street lights so you can star gaze in the evening. The staff were so nice and...
