  • I took this photo in Messinia, Greece in summer 2016. It's of Voidokilia Beach and it's surroundings. Voidokilia Beach is on the Peloponnese peninsula and it was the most picturesque beach that I visited during that Greek trip, which was almost exclusively in Messinia. On that mountain is Nestor's Cave and above this are the ruins of a 13th-century Frankish castle (Old Navarino or Palaiokastro). Look closely and you will see :). I didn't get to walk up there. It was brutally hot that day and I spent most of the time at the beach. But, I did make time for some hiking. Near where I took this photo there was a lot of medieval or ancient ruins. Near those beautiful rocks. I had to be careful when walking on them, but it was worth it!

Nice apartment-type setting with adequate gated parking. Comfortable room with quiet air conditioning, strong wifi signal, and a small patio for breakfast/smokers/etc. Friendly staff provided a hearty made-to-order breakfast at a time of guest's choosing. Easily recommended.

Spacious apartment with great pool and service

Spacious 2 room apartment with big terrace and direct access to the pool. The pool bar service as well as the breakfast were excellent. We had a nice stay. Please be advised that other than shown on hotels.com the hotel is not located in the center of Methodist but a 15 minutes walk from the center on the country side

Very clean apartment. Plenty of sunbeds. Breakfast delivered to our room every morning. 15 min walk into town. We’d hired a car and were glad we had. Nearest restaurant La Sapienza is an 8 min walk. Family run taverna - so good we went twice.

Great place to stay.

Enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Provided breakfast was great. The place is small, so not a lot of interaction with others. The pool was perfect. It’s a nice walk into town, and based on how narrow the streets are, you are better off not taking the car into town. Able to see everything we wanted to in Methoni and the surrounding towns.

A great base for exploring the Pylos area

Thoroughly recommended. A really comfortable place with a great - and big - pool and huge verandas in each room. Looks pretty new and everything is in very smart condition and rooms very well equipped. Methoni castle and town are a pleasant 25 minutes walk (or 5 minute drive) through countryside and then along the sea shore. There are plenty of good restaurants in Methoni and the hotel gave us very good recommendations.

We had a lovely stay with a very good breakfast served on terrace at a time of your choice .15 min walk to centre down a lane to the sea.lovely beach buy a drink& then sun beds are free.The castle comes out into the sea which is very interesting.No loud music or high rise hotels.We we’re there in September .

Great but with a few concerns.

A lovely facility and quite spacious. However the interior stairs, turning at a right angle, without railing, would be dangerous for all but the really fit. There was also a bit of confusion about how to order breakfast, but it was delicious, plentiful and loved that it was brought to us!

Niki was a gracious host who contacted me with check-in details via WhatsApp prior to our arrival. She gave us very good dining recommendations in Methoni as well as suggested visits during the next day to Pilos, Foinikounta, a nearby village and to Koroni, a seaside town. Our room was spacious with a loft where the queen bed and the attached bathroom are located. For safety reasons, I will suggest that hand rails be installed in the staircase. Below the loft is the living room/ kitchen with another bathroom. The balcony is huge with a view of the famous Methoni castle and the sea. Breakfast was excellent.

Our room was light and airy, modern and finished to a high standard with a small kitchenette. The kitchen was suitable for light meals but the lack of space for preparation meant it wouldn’t be ideal if you wanted to fully self-cater. The breakfast selection was good. The bed was very comfortable and the modern bathroom had an excellent shower. We had a large balcony with views across the fields to the castle. The pool was a real bonus. It was a 15 minute walk to the town, restaurants and main beach, which was fine in the evenings but we were glad to have our car in the heat of the day. Everything was beautifully looked after and we would recommend it to others.

A nice boutique property that is an easy walk into Methoni, the beach and the castle. The breakfast was delivered to our room each day, with a number of options to choose from. There is a small secured parking lot on the property so we always had a spot for our car.

No proper shower just a handheld one

The accommodation was perfect all except the shower it was not a proper shower just a hand held shower which made showering difficult especially when it came to washing your hair.

Mooi complex, niet te groot. Vriendelijke mensen. Wel wat afstandelijk. Alles was netjes. Ontbijt was goed, leuk dat het gebracht werd. Allen wat afwisseling had gemogen. Afstand naar strand en dorp was goed. Enige opmerking maar dat is voor ons persoonlijk, veel gezinnen met kinderen en daar leent het zich niet echt toe. Buiten het zwembad viel er voor de kinderen niet veel te beleven en dat werd daar dan ook wat druk door
