"Breakfast was less than average and very expensive for counter service. Don't call it granola if all you do is break up a commercial granola bar. Oatmeal was poorly cooked and unexplainably expensive. Shower, on the other hand, was outstanding, but hallway inside room is too narrow to bring the luggage cart in. Also lighting in bathroom and sleep area is very weak and not useful. "
"Don’t count on breakfast. Very limited selection and when things ran out, they were not restocked until the next morning. Very few restaurants near by. Room was clean, but outdated. Also, hotel charged a $10 (plus tax) “safe use fee” even though my reservation via Hotels.com said all fees & taxes were included. They told me they would refund that fee, but it still has not been refunded to my card. "
Ramada Hotel & Convention Center by Wyndham Topeka Downtown

"This hotel needs a complete overhaul. I should’ve looked at the Google reviews and not just Expedia reviews. I would have noticed that there have been elevators that are not functional for over four months now. That’s ridiculous! All guess staying in the tower portion of this property must take a small service elevator that takes forever because everyone is using it as it is the only means of getting to the rooms other than taking the stairs. The odor that smacks you in the face every time I exit the service elevator onto the fourth floor, where I stayed, is absolutely horrendous! I did not feel comfortable walking barefoot in my hotel room. I created a path made up of towels and sheets that I could walk on because the carpet just felt grimy and the room was musty and stinky. And probably the most frustrating part is that my hotel key kept getting unprogrammed so I had to walk the equivalent of three city blocks each and every time this occurred. I was told the same thing each time by the person at the desk. “ oh, so if your cell phone or credit card comes in contact with your room key, it can de-magnetized it” I accepted that the first time I heard it. I intentionally kept my room key in a pocket far away from anything that might affect its programming, but yet again, I was locked out of my room and had to walk all the way down to the front desk to get my keys reprogrammed. This place is just a hot mess. Never Again!"
"The room was clean but had wear and tear. The toilet handle had to be held down to fully flush. The walls and ceiling had a lot of dings and dents! We were in room 104 on the ground floor and could hear the people above us.
The breakfast was hot and okay. However, the attendant did not keep it fully stocked. Several items had run out an hour after breakfast had started. I will say there was a variety of breakfast foods.
The bed was very comfortable and the A/C worked great!
We would stay there again but not in room 104."
