Top Johnson Lake Barrens State Natural Area Hotel Reviews
AmericInn by Wyndham Eagle River Downtown
10/10 Excellent
"The night manager was such a sweetheart! We didn't arrive until after midnight and he was still so welcoming, check in was quick and easy. We had our dog with us and paid the pet fee, which was way more affordable than most others in the area, and he gave me no issues or complaints there either.
There was a strange clattering noise in our room (not the AC, we heard it turning on and off separately) but we were able to sleep through it because we were so exhausted. Bathroom was a little cramped but very clean. Breakfast was fine: nothing bad but nothing amazing either, just fine. We didn't get to use the pool but it looked clean and orderly."
"The hotel is a little older - but extremely well maintained. Very clean. It is in a fantastic location. Our room had a view of the lake - and everything in the town was in walking distance.
The pool is fantastic! Again, so clean! I can’t emphasize enough how well kept the entire hotel is.
The lady at the front desk was such a hard worker! We were there for July 4th, and she looked so patriotic with her flag bandana. You could tell that she was very invested in her guests and the welfare of the hotel in general. Loved our stay!!"
"This hotel never disappoints. It is always exceptionally clean and the breakfast is fantastic. Homemade breakfast burritos are a hit with the entire family!"
"Liked the staff they were very nice. I think there needs to be information put on the wall in the laundry room on how to use the washer and dryer not just a sticker on the machines. I think most people are used to using quarters to do laundry not a QR code. Also the carpeting in the hallways going to the rooms always smelled musty and looked dirty. Breakfast was good. Bed was comfortable pillows aren’t. But the hotel was close to shopping and the lake I loved that."
"Everything was really great. The only thing I could suggest is a little more selection for breakfast, like fresh fruit and Greek yogurt with granola and/or nuts."
"Checkin was very easy. Room was very clean. Hallway smelled a bit like strong vs spices but the rooms smelled fine. Could have been a guest bringing back smelly food. Wry close to downtown area and World Championship Derby. Would stay there again."
