This was an exceptional stay. The people greeted us and went above and beyond to ensure we were welcomed and had everything we need. The property was also so lovely with cool artwork and vibey decor throughout. Truly an exceptional stay. And our dinner and breakfast were both some of the most memorable meals on our trip to South Africa. This place is a gem — book it.

We had a wonderful 1 night stay at Pablo House. We stayed in the villa, which was a very large fantastic space for our family of 5. The views are beautiful! We enjoyed dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. Staff was wonderful.

Amazing stylish hotel, wonderful staff

The hotel is very comfortable and welcoming, beautifully designed with very stylish and chic surroundings. The views are wonderful, totally unexpected from a city hotel. It's quiet and safe. Explore the whole place, it's built on a hillside with a pool at the bottom and rooms on many levels. Comfy big beds, great art and the food is lovely too. The staff are all friendly and helpful. We were lucky enough to be there when artworks from a local gallery were being displayed, great idea.

I love this place, we have stayed in a few hotels in berg over the years but this one is our fav because its so chill, arty and loving. It feels like youre in a nature reserve at the top of the hill in the greenery. It feels like they really support local artists as the art is amazing and you can also buy in the reception. The food and bar selection is always delicious - wood fire T bones, wood fire prawns etc. We know about this place as our local friends always come here for the Pizzas as a group meet. We prefer the bigger rooms like the loft as its like a home with a kitchen and the ceilings are super high. I would stay here over the Four Seasons for a more local art scene view of Jberg.

Lovely staff and a warm welcome with a great cocktail makes you want to come back. Our bed was super comfortable and with a great view including a weaver bird tending to his nest. It's certainly a unique space to experience something authenticly and lesser known about the Joburg Northern suburbs. It's unfortunate about the typical low water pressure and shower design, which is also way too small. It splashes all over the floor next to your only toilet. A geyser decided to trip just as we were ready to take a shower after a long tiring day and weren't in the mood to wait an hour for hot water. Inconveniently placed light switches, a crucial spotlight flickering and power sockets dating from 1940's without a place to sit down and blow your hair in front of a mirror may all be acceptable by South African standards, but to my Japanese partner unimaginable how that could pass.

Amazing stay. Friendly owner and staff and delicious food. The views are lovely. Especially loved the cosy fire and sun rooms as well as the love seat outside our room. Everything was stunning. Winter retreat. Will definitely recommend and will be returning.
