"Nice hotel in great location across from the Ferry to midtown manhattan.
Positives:
- Location: the ferry and a nearby grocery store are very handy to have so close! The boardwalk is a great place to take a stroll and enjoy the city views.
- Breakfast was a nice touch. If you are gluten-free, be sure ask for the GF muffins which they keep in the freezer. They are Udi’s which is a great brand for those of us with gluten and lactose issues.
- Kitchen in the room is always nice to have.
- Parking: the self-park parking lot was very convenient and reasonably priced.
Downside:
- The pullout mattress. It was horrible! Very uncomfortable. Housekeeping did not leave any bedding either so we had to call down each day for it.
- Partial View: Unless you have a room that is directly facing the Hudson River, your view will be of construction/ buildings. We had a room that said ‘partial view’ of the city but that was a stretch! We really only saw the construction of the building next-door.
Lastly, because of the proximity to the ferry, it would be nice for hotel guests to get a discount on the ferry. It adds up when your family takes it every day back-and-forth.
Overall a lovely, clean hotel that’s quiet from the hustle and bustle of Manhattan."
