"I genuinely enjoyed my stay at Tälta Lodge. The energy of the place is very Scandinavian ski Lodge. The theme is consistent, it’s cute, and very nicely done. The location is ideal if you are going ski or hike or cycle in the area. The water pressure in the showers was amazing, the towels were fluffy, and there was a nice bathrobe to use whether coming out of the shower or to the pool sauna or hot tub. The bed was VERY comfy and so were the pillows. I wish I had more time to use the ameneties- to sit in the cozy lobby, visit the downstairs cocktail bar, sit in the hot tub. The front desk staff wasn't fine. One desk staff didn't know how to access the local recreational path and gave incorrect directions. The staff on at check out ignored me. That said- I would absolutely stay here again and just might do so this summer with my family.
However, there were a few weird design choices in the room which left me puzzled. The bedside lamps have no lampshades, which feels blinding at night when you’re trying to read before bed. There’s also no storage in the room so I had to unpack my bag and just put my clothes on the chair. Also, there is a peg wall thing that is back lit. I didn’t realize that it lit up until I went to bed and it was glowing and I had to get up and unplug it. I don’t understand these choices. Something else they could consider is an outlet near where the kettle is. I had to heat up my water for coffee and oatmeal on the floor, which I didn’t love."
