Checking was easy and staff at the front desk were supper nice specially this lady Daya was very helpful and guided us through
The only thing that I wasn’t sure about is when u need to schedule activities everything was on line I didn’t see any flyers or people to ask
Amazing property with equally amazing staff. If you're looking for a convenient location near all the action, Papagayo Beach Hotel is it! The property is beautiful!
We loved this place! The staff was very nice, professional, friendly and helpful. We had an ocean view room was perfect with a large balcony for morning coffee. Enjoyed the 2 pools, beach areas and the beach bar was lively but not crowded & loud. Breakfast was buffet and/or Ala carte.
A beautiful hotel with a great ambience, featuring rooms that are well positioned to face the pool area and offer lovely ocean views. The staff were friendly, and the room itself was clean and comfortable.
On the downside, the food was just average and could definitely be improved. There are a number of nearby restaurants perhaps I was unlucky where and when I had my meal.
I also experienced a delay on arrival, having to wait nearly 30 minutes as my room was still being prepared.
I liked this property. I would stay there again. Parking convenient good restaurants and amenities. Only down is room needs more light.

Disliked: Staff & service, amenities
The hotel hosted a wedding during our week stay without notifying guest until arrival. The infinity pool, beach club, and restaurant was all closed during our stay during this event. On two different nights music was so loud it echoed our room until 2:30am. Staff did nothing to help make our stay better after multiple attempts to speak with managers. Paid thousands of dollars for a terrible hotel experience. Thankfully the island itself is beautiful and we spent our days exploring it.
This was our second visit to the property and we still love it. Great views, lots of food options and you really don’t need to ever leave because there’s always something to do there.
Staff is amazing! Met us at the car, grabbed our bags for us, walked us to the counter and even offered us a cold towel to refresh ourselves! Check in was smooth and quick and they walked us to our room, told us where we could park and made sure we were happy with the room before leaving us. Room was spotless!! We told them it was our honeymoon and they had a bottle of wine waiting for us in the room. The stay was amazing! Tons of stuff to do around the hotel. Definitely will be back! 100% recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in paradise
Breakfast wasn’t very fresh. Staff was good parking was good

Disliked: Amenities
I did get sick eating breakfast . So I didn’t enjoy that . The eggs or ham were clearly not the cleanest. Also , there was a wedding that I wasn’t informed of when I booked . So certain amenities were closed so I wasn’t happy about that, as well as many other guest , I would have liked to get a partial refund because I spent a lot of money to use certain services . They attempted to tell me I was allowed to sunbathe on my balcony to compensate but after many attempts calling , no one brought a chair to my room . Other than those things . Some people were friendly and most of the other food was good. .i did have a lovely view of the sunset from my room.
We had a great stay! The rooms were modern, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of options, and the beach club was definitely a highlight.
The only thing that could be improved was the check-in process, which was a bit slow and not very organized. But overall, the hotel is great, and we would definitely stay here again!
