"The Viking is a lovely place to stay while in Newport. It's location is a short walk to downtown, which makes for a quiet stay in their good sized rooms. The staff was very helpful and polite. We had breakfast at the hotel restaurant, and it was delicious."

"There are some maintenance issues that need to be addressed...our tv kept acting up, our toilet nearly overflowed, two drawers would not stay closed, and the ice machine on our floor was out of order all three days. Friendly staff, good breakfast, but a little disappointed since I had stayed here before and chose it because of my good experience back in June."
